Raider Publishing has stolen my royalties. Adam Salviani informed me (not asked me) that he would be breaching our publishing contract and not paying my royalties for yet another year. I'm sure that at the end of that year, he'll have another rubbish excuse.
It's bad enough I had to wait an entire year to discover that they hadn't bothered advertising my book much, and had put no effort whatsoever into marketing (other than marketing it wrong - as a drama when it's actually an erotic thriller), but now they're refusing to pay my royalties? Not on!
I informed Adam that it was a breach of contract and that I was NOT willing to wait another year and wanted my royalties as per our contract. He's completely IGNORED me - very professional - not! To make matters worse, I actually worked for him at the time, which means he's totally ruined my income by simply ditching me as a proofreader without as much as word, and all because I insisted that he upholds our contract! The things people do to steal from others!
I want my royalties, but I think I'll be dead of old age before that happens.
Authors, do NOT make the same mistake I did by trusting a bunch of wannabes like Raider Publishing with your hard work - our books are our babies; how dare he spit on them the way he does? It's actually VERY easy (and often cost-free) to self-publishing, and guess what else? That's exactly what you're doing anyway with Raider Publishing, since they are NOT a traditional publishing company like they try to make themselves out to be, but are a SELF-PUBLISHING company. So rather than WASTE your money paying thieves, do it yourself like I did the second time around.
I wish I'd never met Adam Salviani or his so-called publishing company. All he did was destroy the first book I ever published with his unprofessionalism and thieving.
I'm available to attorneys and media for further comment - I'd be happy to help expose a bunch of thieves who rape authors' hard work - and 'rape' is the only word that can even begin to describe what Raider did to my book.
