Readers' Choice America's Readers Choice Unable to CANCEL, Sucker for LIFE!!! SAN LUIS OBISPO, California

This company called me on the phone out of the blue to get me to sign up for a "Choice Travel" subscription which includes a Hotels Discount card as well.  Linked to this offer is Readers' Choice, which when explained to me, seemed like a package deal with the other offers, meaning in order to get the hotels discount card, I had to get Readers' Choice as well.  They offered me magazines for five years, and "though the magazines will be paid off after the first 30 months, they've frozen the magazine cost for my budget."  The deal is that I am paying 19.90 every month for these magazines, and after getting a recorded and legally binding verbal statement over the phone, I have no choice but to pay these monthly payments.  I should have the right as a consumer to change my mind, and they take this option away.  I have called three times to try and cancel, and they just say over and over that the verbal statement that I made is binding and I can't take this back.  I must pay the bills every month and there is no choice but to continue, otherwise I will be reported.
