Rebuttal to Buyer Beware..Newport Cove condos,Henderson,NV

Yes,buying a condo in an older building did have it's risks, and the  original HOA wasn't totally honest with homeowners regarding all the issues you have stated in your report. Buying condos in Newport Cove was very affordable at the time,and is located in a very desirable community,(Green Valley). The trade-off was walking distance to the Library,Trader Joes, Albertsons,banks, beauty shops, a short five mile drive to the airport,etc..Yes,many of us condo owners would have loved to flip/sell before the market turn a nose dive and not spend a dime on repairs/renovations. Well..get over it. Your anger is justified to a point,but being a homeowner is what it is..if you go the distance,you will have to spend money on average home repairs,furnances,hot water heaters,etc. Yes, many units are for sale but most sales are now pending. Many homeowners took the easy way out by walking away when the market crashed and they couldn't make a quick profit in the hot Las Vegas real estate market. In response to the run on crime in the complex..Yes,this too is a sign of the times we live in,and not entirely the faulty door frame construction.. As a kid I remember when we didn't even lock our doors.

Let's try to be positive about the real estate market and economy getting better soon,and support the new HOA personnel and board members at Newport Cove condos. Personally,I love living here at the complex and in Green Valley.
