I ordered a kraut crock w/weights and lid. When I opened the box the crock was broken. When I called questions were asked about the packaging, which was in good condition, excuses were made. I was told that the crock was backordered for two months. I requested a refund. The next day I got a call saying that it was determined that the crock was packaged adequately, without inspecting the package or listening to me when I said that the crock was upside down when I took it out of the box, so the fault was not theirs. It was suggested, and I rejected, to replace the broken crock with a regular crock as a substitution. I was told that a claim had been filed with UPS and that I might hear from them in 5 days. I am waiting for a resolution to the problem.
The true measure of a company is in its customer service. It is easy to claim good customer service when all goes well. When things go wrong true worth and value come to light, RHGS falls far short of the mark of good service.
