If I can rate this scammer 0 (Zero) out of 5 I would since he (Donald the self-proclaimed owner of Regal Auto Sales??) used deception and lies to convince me that he collects the NY taxes and I would not have to pay NJ taxes if I showed NJ MV the receipt (purchase of 2005 Honda accord). Therefore I paid $500.00 in NY taxes to him on the car purchase in addition now I have to pay another $500.00 in NJ. I tried calling him and
he ignored my calls but then texted me that the taxes I paid was part of his overall expenses to keep his pop and mom shop going BS (when he initially told me that I will not be paying taxes in NJ if I show NJ MV the receipt which breaks down taxes paid to him, but NJ MV informed me that Donald as a car dealer KNOWS (Or Should KNOW) that if I register my car in NJ that I have to pay taxes in NJ so basically he ripped me off $500.00 & is now rude and refuses to listen on the phone except repeat himself stating what a great deal I got BS). The breakdown of $500.00 taxes I paid him IS CLEARLY written on the receipt he gave me!! He also used camera tricks to reveal car was in mint condition when the body had many scratches, dent, damage (when I confronted him about it, he said "come on man that's normal for a 2005 car? so I said to him "you should have posted better pics online but I overlooked it since he kept stating how great the car is mechanically". He also lied and stated carfax had clean record with no accidents and I found out by ordering my own report that the car was involved in an accident?.

He lied again and said he bought new rotors when the rotors had rust and visible to the eye it was old and original rotors.. I finally got him on the phone & he changed his name from Donald to Willy right in the middle of the conversation because he ran out of lies;. He goes on to change subject of why am I paying an additional $500.00 in taxes to that I'm getting a good deal, etc:. when I paid him $400 more than the highest bidder on Ebay!.

Avoid this scamming clown and his cars;.I should have went with my gut feeling and walked away.

Donny Fay is a Scam Artist

AUTHOR: TT Quick - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, April 08, 2014

Donny Fay sold me a car from Craigslist that had major mechanical problems and died on the drive home. He would not respond to my phone calls and what is worse he passed the title... he impersonated the owner on the title and sold a car he never even owned. A carfax check after the sale also showed rolled back miles. He lied to my face during the discussion about the car and who he was. He was pushing many cars from in front of his 1736 Albany Street address in Schenectady, NY. He certainly was not a liscened used car dealer when I dealt with him (about 1.5 years ago), but week after week a simple search for his 518-810-5272 phone number showed new listings. He occasionally also listed under his girlfriend (Chelsa Lynn Prisco) name and number.

Plain and simple he was not an honest person when I dealt with him and I'm certain he hasn't changed his ways. A dishonest man who flips cars and has no problem lying to you in order to make a quick buck.

I'm satisfied

AUTHOR: Ok - ()

POSTED: Monday, September 30, 2013

Just an update that the check finally arrived and it cleared. I thank Donnie for redeeming himself. If he sent me the check from our first conversation then I would not have resorted to the internet or NY DMV. I thank the NY DMV for helping me resolve this issue fairly and Donnie for complying with the resolution. Good Luck!

Donnie "the cheap car salesman's" weak & pathetic rebuttal ...lol

AUTHOR: scammed - ()

POSTED: Thursday, September 19, 2013

My my myyy ... LOL ... Donnie is back WWE style. So tell us Donnie how many times did you read my posts? once, twice or three times then you realized you ran out of lies and transformed from the "family guy preacher" back to Donnie "the cheap car salesman" with a bit of WWE silly insults LOL ....so I'm an old miserable man now? LMAO... is that age discrimination? LOL ... I'm glad you took the time to read my posts & attempt to address them.

Although you failed again and you continue to be a compulsive liar ... Donnie, can you try to go for a whole 24 hours without telling a lie? probably not :( ... So now how do you think your "older" customers feel when they read your age discriminatory comment? I think you should stick to your new preacher family guy image and tell us your motto again "From my family to yours, regal auto sales" ...LOL ...you are truly a sad case!

PS. Hey Donnie, Keep in mind that the hybrid you sold me with 120k has a weak hybrid battery that barely gets 18 miles per gallon in city driving and I think you KNEW that the hybrid battery was dying and made a quick sale but let me REMIND you that I have 2 months left on the full warranty. And yes I will always make time to expose the likes of you :)

Awful customer In need of more important things to do with your time

I refuse to read this post because I actually have things scheduled to do with my life, which you apparently do not. You got an awesome car that was good enough for my wife who's a nurse practitioner. On top of everything, we did speak with the DMV at first and were told something totally different than you were. Once we did realize the issue with selling out of state and taxes (this being my first out of state transaction) we sent a check to the address on the mv50 WHICH WAS WRONG!! So it came back to us In the make you ignorant miserable old man! We attempted to contact the DMV for you ACTUAL address several times and they just got back to us today. The second check Is in the mail and I suggest you use that $500 to buy yourself a life!!!!!

Response to Donnie's Rubuttal

AUTHOR: scammed - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, September 04, 2013

I love the affect I have on people to the point that Donnie the car salesman repented and returned to preaching  the Gospel … funny how people only resort to praying when they are guilty of something …reminds me of my days in law enforcement. Let me further clarify the facts because Donnie is either confused or does not comprehend the English language:

  1. Fact#1: I never stated that I bought the car on Ebay as Donnie misread.  It is Ironic how he accuses others “English language of not being up to par” & he also mentioned the same line about another customer as we were discussing the sale of the car. Basically, The Ebay auction had ended at $6,101.00 (Reserve not met) and Donnie had his phone number on that Ebay listing which lead me to contact him about the car, etc. I later found out that it’s a violation for Donnie to put his contact number on an ebay listing. That’s Donnie for you. Go figure.
  2. Fact#2: I made a cash deal on the phone with Donnie before meeting him to see the car (over 2 hour drive). The Deal was $400 more than the highest bidder on Ebay! …Although I was disappointed when I saw the condition of the exterior of the car up close, it seems to drive well. Donnie was embarrassed by the misleading pictures and description so he took off $100 not the thousands that he claimed in his deceptive rebuttal.
  3. Fact#3: Donnie did not contact NY DMV about the taxes. I DID! … I wrote a complaint to the NY DMV since Donnie was rude on the phone and did not want to refund me the extra $500 I paid in taxes. In fact I made it easy for Donnie when I recommended that he uses paypal to refund but he rudely stated for me to get a lawyer, so I contacted NY DMV via official complaint with the proof that I paid taxes twice due to Donnie’s deception.
  4. Fact#4: I STILL DID NOT GET THE $500.00 Check from Donnie and I will be contacting the NY DMV in a week as per NY DVM resolution of Donnie paying back $500.00. Hey Donnie since you do not want to talk on the phone in a civil manner, please text me on when I should be expecting the check or at least a tracking number.  The issue is STILL pending.
  5. Fact#5: Read my initial complaint carefully and you will understand that I never used profanity or manipulation. My description of Donnie as a clown is accurate since he joked a lot on the phone before I bought the car then after the purchase he started using childish WWE smack talk like repeating himself with the same lame “you don’t know me” line and changing his name to Willy in the middle of the conversation when I questioned him about being scammed to pay taxes twice due to his deception … he ended the conversation with “hire a lawyer”… He also kept interrupting me rudely with no manners the exact opposite of the family guy preacher that he describes himself in the rebuttal. Sad. Soo sad. I kind of feel sorry for people like Donnie. I really do. I am hoping this experience changes Donnie for the better.

Many happy customers of regal auto sales

AUTHOR: Regal auto sales - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, September 03, 2013

unfortunately there are many sides to each story. As a business owner you try to keep happy customers but there are an ocassional few who are impossible to deal with, especially when their English language skills are not particularly up to par. Anyhow, we pride ourself in being a family owned business who does mostly local business. We were unaware that the state tax law differed from New York and the buyer was unable to pay us taxes directly. Once we spoke to the DMV a check was mailed to the complainer above in the amount of $500. I also need to state that this man never purchased this vehicle off ebay so that is a flat out lie. So not only was the issue reconciled but this customer received an amazing car for dealer price after hours spent away from a family event being talked down thousands in price! I'm absolutely baffled how this man could justify conducting himself in such a manner using profanity and manipulation . My wife and I work hard to make this a great business and we have many happy repeat customers. We believe in doing the right thing and God truly rewards those who do. So I will pray for the man listed above because people who are ado cruel at heart and so impatient need it the most. Thank you everyone for your continued support! From my family to yours, regal auto sales.
