Regatta Beach Realty Fayola Goldstone, Licensed Real Estate Broker and landlord seized our $1300 security deposit. They sent us a a bill of $1573.11 of fabricated charges. Complete ripoff. Be aware! Don't make any deals with Fayola!!! Clearwater, Florida

Mrs. Fayola Goldstone is a Licenced Real Estate broker. She is an agent for the Landlord Mrs. Besnike Selmanovski, who resides in Canada. We have rented their condo for 26 months and gave her a $1,300 deposit when moved in. When we moved out they did not allow us to do a walk-through and check everything and have not given us our deposit.


Instead of this, 2 weeks later they sent us a bill of $1,573.11, which falsified the facts:


1. Cleaning - $200 (we paid $60 in advance when we moved in)


2. Electric bills - $288.71 (prorated bill should be around $200)


3. 2 ID badges $24 (we paid by ouself and we have a prove)


4. Bath tub and toilet repair -$825. (Everything worked perfectly well when we left)


5)Replace Ironing board - $53.50 (this cheap ironing board, with old cover, which does not cost more than $15, was not broken; it was in the same used condition, when we moved in. Are they trying to buy a new ironing board for $53.50 at our cost?)


6) Replace 2 cutting boards- $21.40. (these cheap plastic small boards had some normal wear, and you can buy them for $1 each in the Dollar Store, and you allowed us to use them. Obviously, it was a natural wear and tear of the plastic. Are they trying to buy the new cutting boards for $21.40 at our cost?)


7) Broken living room chair $160.50 (the sitting part of the chair was already partially damaged when we moved in)


Now, Mrs Goldstone and the Landlord are trying to force us to pay for the renovations, which were supposed to be done by the Landlord, long way before we even moved in (neglected bathroom, broken chair, heavily used ironing board, old cheap plastic cutting boards, etc)!!!


We asked an employee of Regatta Beach Realty Jackee Davis (because Mrs. Goldstone did not show up) - to check everything and do a walk-through, before we left and submitted the keys, but she refused to do this with us after talking to Mrs. Goldstone on the phone, saying that Regatta Beach Realty used to treat other tenants the same way (???!!!). Regatta Beach Realty is breaking the law by not allowing tenants to take a last walk-through with the landlord before you vacate the rental dwelling!


By the way, the other Realtor Company in Regatta Beach Club works completely opposite way: they walk through condo with tenants before tenants move in, writing down all the problems, and walk through with tenants on the day of moving out, and they give back full deposit the same day.

Fayola is the greatest

I like Fayola Gladstone.She is a well educated, caring and highly creative individual.Whoever gets to have her in their company or organization is lucky.

Ms. Gladstone is fair,reasonable and able to see things from all sides. If you deal with her you will enjoy her fairness,respect,honesty. She goes out of her way to help you understand key points,and she creates and maintains (and expects returned) a high a level of freindly good will and mutual spirit trust and cooperation.  Fayola is a true professional business executive in every sense. She's an Ace at whatever she does , and she's brilliant,too. 

Leaving a thrashed rental is never acceptable when you are enjoying the opportunity of living on one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire world for an incredibly low price.  If you can't appreciate that,then there's no hope for you.   No rental should ever be thrashed...and no,you won't get your security deposit back when you fail to show respect for what is provided as being"not good enough".I feel very bad Ms.Gladstone had to deal with people like you who don't care.  Customers like this bring everybody done.Let's see how you handle your next home, rental or purchased.

Fayola is the best

We rented a condo from Fayola's company at Regatta Beach during January - April, 2011.  Fayola went above and beyond any reasonable expectation in getting my wife and I a beautiful condo and making sure everything was fine during our stay.  She and her staff were always so helpful.  When we left they had not done a walkthrough, but we certainly trusted them based on our experience.  They reported that everything was fine and returned our deposit.  I have only rarely been fortunate enough to experience the kind of excellent customer service provided by Fayola!

Hello,


This is Fayola Goldstone, Broker/Owner of Regatta Beach Realty.  If you are going to slander someone's name, company name and reputation, the least you can do is identify yourselves, Andrei and Anna Chugunov!


The original complaint was filed by Andrei & Anna Chugunov, who rented a gorgeous beach condo from my agency. The condo is located splat on Clearwater Beach, about a stone-throw away from famous Caladesi Island.  The condo itself is worth about $500,000 and was beautifully furnished from top to bottom.  Before Andrei and Anna Chugunov moved into this dwelling, it was only used by the owners for personal mini-getaways.  Everything was brand spanking new when the Chugunovs moved in.


I have emails from Andrei stating how much he loved the condo....he even extended his stay four (4) times. Whenever I laid my eyes on Andrei or Anna, they were smiling from ear-to-ear on their way to or returning from swimming in the Gulf of Mexico, the beach front olympic-sized swimming pool, or frequenting the state-of-the-art Fitness Center. They lived like a King and Queen in the condo, which always makes my job worthwhile to see happy tenants...it makes me and my employees happy as well.


However, my smile was turned upside down when Andrei & Anna moved out of the condo and left it in complete filth.  It literally brought tears to my eyes because I was the one who personally convinced the owner of the condo to lease to Andrei & Anna at a reduced rate and guaranteed the owner that upon meeting the Chugunovs, it appeared that they were wonderful people who assured me they would care for the condo as if it were their own. Every inch of the place was dirty and mucky, some furnishings were destroyed, there was broken furniture, the bath tub and tiles were ruined, there was food stuck in the berber carpet throughout the living room area, there were used nasal strips and bandaids found in both bedrooms.....I could go on and on with every disgusting detail, but I won't.


Bottom line: Andrei and Anna Chugunov left this once gorgeous beach condo, worth half million dollars, looking like a slum property.....which is unacceptable.  They were not charged a cleaning fee because we do not charge an upfront fee for cleaning....ever! If anyone randomly calls our office and asks about what we collect up front, you will never hear a cleaning fee because the majority of our tenants leave our rentals looking spotless when they check out, so it is not necessary to charge a universal fee. 


Andrei and Anna, take responsibility for your actions. If you destroy a landlord's property and leave someone's condo looking nasty and wrecked after you have rented it, do NOT expect the owner of that property to pat you on the back. Expect to lose your security deposit or part thereof, depending on how bad a condition you have left it.
