I signed up "Rich Dad Academy" advanced training program. And "Rich Dad Academy" asked me to sign on "1st month free" service from REI BlackBook when I signed the agreement on 8/14/2011. I never used REI BlackBook, until I got a bill from REI BlackBook on 9/13/2011. I called REI BlackBook, and they told me to cancel my service online, so I cancel the service on 9/13 morning.

I contacted with Damon Remy, CEO & Founder of REI BlackBook for refunding $97 they charged, because the agreement wrote: "1st month free". Here is amazing conversation between me and CEO Damon:

Damon: "You canceled after your payment was run and we sent you the paid invoice."

Me: Please read the Agreement. It does NOT say "The first payment is due on the 30th day of our service which would be the 9/13", but it wrote as "1st month free". I canceled right before the 1st month ended.

Damon: As I stated in my first email you cancelled after your 30 day period had expired.  Your account was activated on 8/14/2011 (August has 31 days) so your 30th day was 9/13/2011. ... I see that you cancelled your account after you received the paid invoice notice.  I do understand that you would like to take advantage of the software and as such I've offered a 25% discount for the first 4 months of your reactivation.

Me: My request is very clear. Business should only follow the agreement or contract. On the agreement, it is written "1st month free", not "30 days free". Please stop auguring this. I attach the agreement again.  I never used your service and I canceled the account within the 1st month.  I should not be charged of $97.

Damon: I am following the contract terms.  To help define "month" I've copied the definition below.  You can click here for the direct link http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/monthmonth [muhnth] Show IPA noun
1.  Also called calendar month. any of the twelve parts, as January or February, into which the calendar year is divided.
2.  the time from any day of one calendar month  to the corresponding day of the next.
3.  a period of four weeks or 30 days.  (<<<< Damon highlighted this line)
4.  Also called solar month. one-twelfth of a solar or tropical year.

Me: Please read your own quote:
"2.  the time from any day of one calendar month  to the corresponding day of the next."

I cannot image how good a business can be if it such a CEO is in charge! The CEO spends his time on getting unhappy customer's money, and behaves so unprofessional.
