Dennis I am writing you today to let you know how frustrated I am with your customer service and mechanical knowledge. On a business level, your words to me are I have a business to run, yes you do and all the responsibilities that come with it. I have spent over $1200 with you and still having some of the same issues. I brought my car there shortly before Christmas for a serious tune up the spark plugs were changed (so you said) and I don't know exactly what else was done because I have never received a receipt. Now first, that's not professional I do not even know what I paid for I trusted you were doing multiple things. Second you told me I paid good money for those spark plugs come to find out they were not even changed or replaced but I did have cheap wires put on from advance auto parts store. I thought for sure you would use premium ones since you specialize in supercharges and that's what my car is. I brought my car to you once again for misfiring (when we noticed we had no oil cap right after we had gotten an oil change two weeks prior), you said maybe a coil. But if you had seriously taken the time to look you would have noticed my antifreeze had a leak spraying my engine resulting from a leaking manifold gasket which in return is causing antifreeze to go into my cylinders/ pistons. Now from what the mechanic said which makes perfect since it's not hard to miss. My car smokes from it. This is a very serious, expensive job that could have cost me a motor. I know that's no concern to you. You just give the car to your sons or mechanics say fix it and get the money. That's what matter is you have a business to run and it's all about money not the work you do. I have come to you for a long time trusting you not expecting to give me any breaks or discount, just trust. You have completely done the opposite. You told me to start with coils, there is a machine that can test those and my coils are fine. You said they come in pairs so that mean two cylinders would miss-fire not one, right? You're the one who told me they come in pairs. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the way you work. I am sorry I trusted your expertise. And the brake light I have on is a Pontiac bulletin recall; they are two sensors that have to be replaced. Why didn't you look that up? I also got a $118 oil change which in the end was not synthetic; I had to go repay for the correct oil. I will never come back to you for business. I am sorry I trusted you and extremely sorry for any penny I ever spent there. People trust you with their cars, which almost says they trust you with their lives since their car could have a safety issue. I would like to have copies of the previous receipts for the work you have done. I do not know how your book keeper keeps accurate count on money if there's no receipt. I also need this for future car records. I want you to know on a personal level how much this hurts and bother me, almost enough to take you to small claims court. I feel I have been cheated and ripped off. All this money and nothing that I was told was truly done. I do not know if I hold you personally or maybe your mechanics lied to you. But all of this is something you should take seriously. If you don't have happy customers you don't have a business. I now have to pay $1100 which some of that could have been part of the $400 plus I already spent with you. I tried to give you a chance to make things right and your poor attitude, lack of knowledge, and non concern for the cars that come through has now put the both of us in a bad situation. I know for a fact you will not try to make things right. You will not offer any compensation towards fixing what was not truly done the first time. I also know you will not get me my past receipts either. That's just the way you work. You are never wrong and everything you do is right. Good luck to your business in the future. It's going to need it. Posting this on this site is how upset you have made me and I want others to know. I did read some nice things about you but those are you VP customers you treat that was not the other percentage of your business, us smaller customers.

making peace/ apology

AUTHOR: Rachel - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 16, 2010

To Dennis and all of his customers. I have had a lot of time to think about this and recently had a really good friends advice that I should have had much sooner.

I want to apologize to Dennis Reinhart and his shop. I am truely sorry for the pain I caused you. Dennis you are/were a very good friend and in the end you always treated me right. I do not feel I was compulsive about writing this but I do feel I should not have gone to this extreme. I have learned a lot from then to now. A short story for your customers. Dennis and I go way back. I actually met him when i was 17 and he worked on my very first car mx6. I then got to know him better. He allowed; well kind of allowed me to do my first burn out in his mustang. He then later opened his home to me charged me very minimal rent, we continued going to car races he allowed me to drive his marauders( sp?) and trusted me with most everything he had. I was very hurt when this happen but going to this extreme was wrong. I hope to rebuild the friendship. Dennis and Sheila are VERY loyal business owners and have no intentions of doing people wrong. Every business has their moments but this was not deserved to have been posted. so again, I am very sorry Dennis. I will give you a call to apologize as well.

Dennis called me as soon as he saw this he begged over the phone to try to work this out. Although I thought he would have made more of an effort than he did. I did get sincere apology. I do not blame Dennis himself because it truely COULD have been out of his hands, unfortunately his name is on the business and he ultimately pays the price. He has worked on my mother n-laws car and seems to be running fine. This report was not meant to say never go here because business's and people make mistakes and they learn from it. I am sure Dennis will be following up on the work that is done from now on. I am also sure he will think before speaking and take more time for each of his customers. We havent talked since this but I am sure he is a better person from this. I know in the past he has done good work. So if you see this try him for yourself, only you will know!
