It has been quite some time since I have done business with this company, but I would like to take part in validating the horror stories roaming the Internet.

Reliant Financial financed the purchase of a vehicle for me when I had no credit (not bad credit).  After going through some life changes, I missed a few payments. During this time I received several unprofessional collection calls from individuals associated with this company. While I expected aggressive collection efforts because I was past due, I did not expect collectors to call me from their personal cell phones. I also experienced collectors calling several times a day, unreasonable hours of the day, and making personal threats to me. Let's also not forget threats of being sued, and having my (broken) car repossessed.

Luckily, I have worked as a collector in the past and I am aware of proper collection procedures. Unfortunately, I didn't even have enough money to even make my car payment; so contacting an attorney for help was definitely not affordable. So- I stuck it out until I knew I was going to have money to pay off the remaining $1000 (ish), and be done with this HORRIBLE company. I called to inform the unprofessional employees of my plans to pay them in the near future. Two days before I planned to pay them I was served AT WORK with court documents! They thought it would be funny to serve me at work because I worked at a repo company! All that did was make the owner of the company I worked for want to help me out even more (She also witnessed the harassing calls)! That's right - the owner of a repo company even thought this company was beyond unprofessional!

Obviously, with this new information, I decided not to pay them and see how it plays out in court. On the day of court, guess who didn't show up... Reliant Financial. Apparently their legal staff is an uneducated as the rest of them! Not only did they not show up in court, they sued me in the wrong venue. These people are unbelievable, but hey - it worked out for me.

What came next ??? - KNOWING that they lost in court, they continued to call me saying that they won. ARE YOU SERIOUS!? Even after all that, they still called to HARRASS me. This company KNEW they lost in court, and KNOWING THIS, still reported to the credit bureaus that they received a court judgment in their favor. For anyone that doesn't know, this is really bad for your credit. Fortunately for me, I have the proper documents that state they did NOT receive a judgment, and I had it removed!

Bottom Line - Any stories that you may read that sound too horrible to be true, are most likely VERY true (and probably actually worse than they sound)! For those of you that say "Well pay your bills then", just because a company provides financing to people with less than perfect credit, it doesn't give them the right to BREAK THE LAW! They are a company, and should deal with PEOPLE in a professional manner. After all, if there were not people out there that needed second chances, they wouldn't be in business. Borrowing money from this place is not worth the trouble. Even if you know you will pay on time with no problems, and will never have to speak to the bottom feeders that work there, don't give this company your business. They don't deserve your money! If you have a loan with them, and you are receiving threatening calls DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! Hopefully, one day a bunch of consumers will get together and sue them! Lastly, they are sneaky liars. Don't take their word for anything. Get any agreements in writing!

Hopefully, taking a few moments out of my day to share my undesirable experience will save someone from making a terrible mistake by accepting money from these THUGS (as someone else brilliantly put it)!
