Like Carmen, from Commerce City, CO, I also found ESBI and "residential email" charging me $14.95 on my Qwest bill. Unlike Carmen, I check my phone bill (online) every month so I [hope] was able to nip this in the bud.
When I called ESBI I also spoke to Jane who mentioned, like $1,000 in coupons and mentioned my wife's name as authorizing this "residential email". There was no confirmation in her email account and I said I wanted this "account" closed immediately, while I checked with my wife. I got this email about 3 minutes later from support@residentialemail.com:
subject: your account has been canceled
[my name],
Your account has been cancelled as per your request. Thank you for using Residential Email.
Sincerely,

Residential Email
Since I also asked Jane for proof that whatever service I was being billed $14.95 PER MONTH for, this little email didn't do it for me ... especially after my wife said she might have participated in some survey questions online, but in no way was cognizant of signing up for $180 per year for some da**ed
coupon scam.
So I called ESBI back and spoke with Lilly this time and said I wanted this $14.95 reversed off my phone bill and she was cooperative and said to wait 1 to 2 billing cycles to see it reversed. She also said the "proof" of authorization for "residential email" services would be out to me in 2-3 days.
I'm waiting for both things to happen.
This is pretty slick and IMHO unconscionable on the part of ESBI and Qwest. This is crap, them letting any fly-by-night internet artists ghost charges on people's phone bills. Not everyone is as anal-retentive as me about their phone bills ;>).
GRRR.
