We were called about a free cruise or 3 days in Las Vegas if we attended a presentation. We know better, but I wanted to hear what they had to say.  My husband and I attended with the agreement that we were not going to have any part of it.

The presentation was really good and when our rep took us outside to talk about the benefits, he told us a lot of things that just weren't true, but he had us convinced.  I am a terminal cancer patient.  I spent most of last year in and out of the hospital.  All my husband and I wanted to do was to spend our time cruising, while I was still able.  The rep pulled the cancer card and said because I was sick, he would get me a great deal!  He told me that his parents went to Alaska the year before for $899 each, including air fare.  It sounded like exactly what I needed.  We signed up, using 2 different credit cards.

We booked a Transatlantic Cruise through RPI.  As it turned out, I ended up finding better deals on the internet for our cruise.  After some haggling, they did meet the price, but started to advertise the same exact cruise (even though they said it was only available for 6 days) for $100 less than what I paid.  They were not able to make good on the lowered price.  We booked a 3 night stay in the center of Rome to stay at the end of the Transatlantic cruise through RPI.  When I checked the airfare with them, I found out that they were twice as much as what I found online for the exact same flights.  We had been told originally that they could save us a lot of money on air fare.  Later, when we were thinking of going to Alaska, I was told that they could not really save on domestic flights, but we would save a lot on TA flights.

2 months after we booked our cruise and hotel (a week before the actual cruise), they told us we were unconfirmed and needed to book another hotel.  The agent said she found a great hotel with 4 instead of 3 stars in the center of Rome for even less money. Due to the time frame, we went ahead and booked this new hotel.  Afterward, we looked on a map and couldn't even find the area where it was located.  It was not even on the maps because it was so far away!

There was a lot more, including the fact that I wrote to the lawyer for RPI and stated my issues.  They told me they would be reviewing it.  After a couple of emails, they finally answered me that they were reviewing it and I would hear from them within a week. That was in June.  It is now Almost September and they have not answered any more of my emails.

I really think this company is a fraud and are just trying to reach the elderly people in the area to scam.  I am still getting calls from different companies that are doing the same thing.  I usually hang up, but a couple of days ago I spoke with the lady on the phone and asked her if there was a parent company and she said it was Resorts Plus International.  BINGO!  I also got another call telling me that if I renew nowI will save money on my renewal.  If I don't renew by Nov. I will no longer be a member and will loose my entire amount!

I will not give up.  I am trying to let as many people that I can, know what this company is doing to scam us!
