I ordered this company's resume-writing service. They advertise a money back guarantee if you are not hired within 60 days of sending out this new resume.

I am a professional who has been in my career for over 20 years. I even gave them my old resume to work with. When they finished "making it professional", I didn't think it was very good but I trusted that they knew more than I did.

The resume yielded NOTHING from prospective employers -- zero results! I obviously wanted a refund so I faxed all of my "website" and "emailed" resume submissions, along with everything else they required. They responded that they would not give me my money back because they could not accept website or emailed resume submissions. In order to get a refund, I should have MAILED the resumes to prospective employers -- certified mail no less. Either that or via FAX with confirmation.

I told them that the companies I applied to did not supply addresses or fax numbers. These employers would only accept via web or email.

Well, "tough luck" is pretty much what they told me. The girl I dealt with was extremely condescending, treating me like I was a child.

They do have a phone number but they never answer -- the greeting says that all of their agents are busy and to leave a message. I did this but never received a call back.

They do not have a customer service email address, either. All correspondence must be done via the client website so you end up going back and forth with people who really couldn't care less.

So.....beware of this company. They do not make good business decisions on behalf of their customers. That tiny loophole in the guarantee has left me very frustrated.

Since creating this note in 2009, we have seen an increase in the number of refund requests to nearly 25/year--w/ approx. 18 approved..This is because a) our sales have increased dramatically since 2009 and b) because unemployment is WAY up! We are still very proud of that record and continue --to this day--to provide excellent customer care..

re: Resumes Guaranteed and Client Satisfaction/Refund Policies...

ResumesGuaranteed.Com works diligently with our clients to ensure their success.
We are, in fact, the ONLY company in our industry capable of offering the "job guarantee." It is worth noting that since the initial advertisement of that guarantee in February of 2008, we have serviced approximately 10,000 clients. Of those ten thousand, only TWELVE have requested the "refund+$50" for failure to secure employment. Eight of those twelve have been granted their refund + bonus... and 4 have been denied for failure to comply with the clearly posted terms of sale.

While we certainly strive to ensure an absolute 100% customer satisfaction level, we are confident that our current verifiable 99.8999% rate serves as an excellent indication of our quality, dedication, and integrity. This is especially true when considering that while approx. 0.01% have requested refunds, 2/3 of those were refunded AND paid the bonus $50 as well.

One of the issues addressed in the online complaint to which this notice directly responds, deals with the nature of our terms of sale. Indeed, we require that clients demonstrate that they have submitted their new resume to at least 30 prospective employers. This requirement is plainly outlined in our terms of sale. The particular client who registered this complaint/report states that he was unfairly treated because his resumes were submitted electronically. We have since amended our terms of sales to ALLOW virtually all types of reasonably verifiable electronic submissions as well.

Statistics aside, we work closely with all of our customers, thrive from their referrals, and certainly do not want even one person to be left unhappy. We would gladly issue a full refund to the client who posted this report... HOWEVER, the name/information given appears to be false/fictitious----as our database does not indicate ANY names in our entire history [which, in total, dates back to the 1990s, long before the refund guarantee was put into effect]---that match this poster's first name and/or location. Consequently, we invite him/her to contact myself-- Andrew Greenstein---by writing to us through the Resumes Guarantee site--and simply including my name in the subject line. The client will then be refunded properly.

It is also appropriate to note that we DO have a toll-free customer service hotline as advertised on our site...and we do answer calls and/or return calls promptly. The poster notes both that a) no one called him back and b) that someone with whom he spoke treated him poorly....so we're/I'm not sure which is accurate BUT--we strive to maintain the highest levels of EXCELLENT customer service and take any such complaint VERY seriously. If the name of the individual with whom this customer spoke is provided [or a call time/date range so we can trace it through employee records], we will deal with the allegation PROMPTLY. Additionally, we DO have many e-contact links on our website as well as a full, easy-to-use client interface for real-time direct correspondence with the individual team assigned to any given resume writing project. We regret that this particular client had some trouble communicating with us--and we urge any prospective customer to review our website and communicate with us PRIOR to ordering---We are confident they will be pleased with the responses provided. Moreover, we offer FREE samples of our work to anyone interested; Simply email us your current resume and, in approximately 1 business day, we'll respond with a free sample edit/re-write, and suggestions---demonstrating some of the likely moves we'll make in creating your NEW, letter-perfect resume.

In close, don't take my word for it -- SHOP OUR STORE before making a purchase...Communicate with our staff... Get a free sample... and we're sure you'll find what 99.8999% of our clients have already....that resumes guaranteed IS the ultimate source for letter-perfect, job-winning resumes & cover letters !
