ReVitalize Age Defying Skin Serum ReVitalize On-line Scam that advertises free 14 day trial Santa Ana California

This scam popped up on my computer as a beauty product that was endorsed by celebrities and others.  It claimed to reduce lines and winkles and skin imperfections.  It seemed like a worthy product.  The scam part comes in when you try to order the 14 day free trial.  They advertise that you only have to pay shipping costs and you get a 14 day free trial.  You enter your credit information to pay for the shipping and handling (a nominal amount) and they ship you the product to try.....at least that is the "push" on all the advertising.  What you don't understand (and it is never explained to you on the website in any apparent way) is that the 14 day free trial starts that day.  If you don't call them back and cancel within the 14 days, your credit account is charged 89.95 for the skin care product and 88.10 for the eye care product that supposedly was your free trial.  This is in addition to the shipping charges you have already paid for.....So in effect, you are charged approximately $187.05 within one month of ordering this free trial.  No you don't get any more product!

This is NEVER made clear to you in the website deal.  Then on top of that you will be charged every month from then on for this product.  Yes, you can look at your charges and get the name of a company that has nothing to do with the product and call the number they give you and you will get some call center in New York (the skin company is in California) and they will claim they do not have an account for you and can't help you.  They will not give you the name of the company or confirm anything....denying all knowledge.  So you have no one to report or make a refund claim to.  I finally called the number on the back of the product (help line) and got some guy that tried to give me a 75% discount to stay on the monthly charge list.  HA! 

All in all, I spent three hours before I got through to someone who could actually cancel my account.  I had to cancel my debit card and get another reissued to insure that they could not charge me again.   The call center number that was posted on bank statement with the phone number in New York actually told me that those numbers were "rotated" all the time and evidently my financial institution had "called up" the wrong number and company.  I checked with my financial institution and they don't "call up" anything....it comes in with the debit authorization from the company (which of course does not exist).  I am elderly and the "hit" on my account was a shock and I would have never authorized it.  I have worked with computers all my life and thought that I was pretty computer savvy about scams and such.  I was knocked for a loop on this one.  BEWARE of this scam!!  The sad part is the product is actually pretty good and if they would just market it honestly, I think it would sell.  But after this I would NEVER have anything to do with their company or their product.  Such a shame.
