RingCentral has a good online fax service.  However, think twice before purchasing their services.  To discontinue the service, I had to go online to their web site and then call a toll free number.  When you call the phone number, numerous people try to convince you not to cancel the service. It took me 15 minutes on the phone to cancel a $14.99/month plan!

No, running a credit card after the cancellation is not called customer retention

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, January 14, 2017

You obviously didn't finish reading the rebuttal.  Running a credit card after the cancellation confirmation is not customer retention - it is a deliberate attempt to collect funds for a canceled service (fraud). I don't mind a retention phone call because I can easily say no. But to run a cc on file from the previous paid in full service that has been cancelled, that's not acceptable. Vendors need to follow through with cancellations, just like we follow through with their steps to cancel. To say it is because I (or the original OP) value our time, what's wrong with that? I certainly don't have to stoop to your level of abuse in your rebuttal to get my point across.

Took me days to cancel the service!

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, January 13, 2017

I had Ring Central for the past few years and always paid the annual amount up front before the year of service. I just canceled my service with them Dec 23, 2016 and it took days for them to cancel. I followed the procedure to the T. They were closed on Dec 23rd for the holiday and were not taking any cancellation phone calls nor emails. The phone number that was provided for their cancellation department went to voice mail. I finally got through to them and received a confirmation of cancellation on Dec 27, 2016.  They tried to charge my credit card again (the full annual fee of $588 for 2017 service) after my cancellation confirmation. The following day, Dec 28,  they had the retention department call to try to save my account with them. The day after that they had internal collections try to get the payment for 2017 service on an account that I already canceled. Be careful with them. I had no problems with their service, but their cancellation procedure is deliberately obtuse.
