I received a check for $4800 some months ago actually. Supposedly it was from the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation (348C Gifford Street, Falmouth, MA 02540). It is written on TD Bank North (307 Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601). I called the bank to find out more information and they were closed. (It was Saturday around 1p-2p). After that, I searched for Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation online and there was a page that gave out information about the place and a picture whose signature appears at the bottom of the check. (Michael Drege,Ph.D). If I remember correctly the telephone numbers didn't work. I'm certain that this is some type of scam and I think I have some idea of what this person or persons is up to. I just wanted to pass this along so that no one gets caught up in this scam. I told someone about this experience and found out that they knew of someone who, unfortunately, was in desperate need of money and cashed several of the checks. I don't think I have to say what happened to him, right?

Riverside Automation victim of scam through UPS account
AUTHOR: Mike Grugnale - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, June 01, 2011
Riverside Automation was a victim of an internet scam through thier UPS account. Our username and password were comprimised and used to send over 1,000 random letters and bogus checks to attempt to gather financial information from unsuspecting individuals. Riverside had no knowledge of this and was as much a victim as those receiving the letters. We're a very reputable machine design and manufacturing company for over 30 years. We apologize for any inconveinance this may have caused as it has been a considerable stress to our repuation and business.
