CPS FORCED MOTHER TO SUBMIT DRUG TESTS REGULARLY AND ATTEND COUNSELING  BUT DRUGS WERE NOT WHY THE CHILDREN WERE REMOVED.

CPS COURT ORDERED HUSBAND TO MOVE OUT OF THE HOME AND NOT TO HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH THE CHILDREN OR MOM.

CPS NEVER GAVE ANY ASSISTANCE TO FAMILY TO HELP REUNITE AS FAR AS HELPING MOTHER FIND A PLACE TO LIVE SINCE HUSBAND THAT WORKED FULL TIME AND PAID THE BILLS WAS REMOVED.

THIS IS GILA COUNTY... THISIS WHAT I HAVE TO THINK OF EVERY DAY BECAUSE CPS TOOK MY 3 CHILDREN AND TERMINATED MY RIGHTS. i KNOW THEY LIED AND I KNOW MY ENTIRE CASE WAS NOT RIGHT. I HAVE NO CHARGES OF ABUSE, NEGLECT OR ANY TYPE OF DRUG CHARGE... I WAS GUILTY OF NOT HAVING A HOME..THATS IT!

I have a much similar story like yours & many of the people on here reporting against CPS of Riverside Country. My child was taken from me after his father contacted CPS in Riverside Country. Social worker came & right away was bios, rude, accusing, & so much more. Had many social workers ALL wore equally the same in there eyes I was guilty without even me opening my mouth. While I won't take you up on your offer to call you silly, I will tell you that I worked for 6 years at a residential facility in California which fell under the licensure, and thus authority of, CPS. What I observed in those 6 years was a system that was deeply flawed, if not corrupt.

When a mandated reporter ( teacher, doctor, daycare employee etc.) or anyone else for that matter, reports suspected abuse the social worker usually visits the home within 3 days, asks a series of questions and then files a report. 

Yes, there are certainly children who are being abused and should be removed for their own safety, but there are also children who are injured while playing etc. and the mother answers the worker honestly by admitting she wasn't in the room at the time. This is most likely true of any parent ( a mother absences herself to use the bathroom, make lunch, do laundry...). But when suspected abuse is reported this innocent admission becomes a very big liability for the parent.

This is merely one example of one possible scenario, of course, but these things occur all too frequently. And once the child is in the system it can be a very long time before he or she is reunited with parents. Often a suitable relative either is denied temporary custody or made to go thru a long, complicated process in order to take the child in.

As for the suspected abuser, the court system can be a nightmare. Most can't afford representation and thus are appointed a court lawyer who generally is not as diligent at fighting for you as a private, expensive lawyer would be. The court appointed lawyer is employed by and gets his paycheck from The System. Do you really believe an employee is going to bite the hand that feeds?

The process to get your child back is difficult and often shaming. And even if you honestly did not abuse your child, if you don't confess to the offense then your are lying or in denial. Good luck getting your child back now. No weepy, sincere admission, no child. 

Add to this the fact that the State receives over 300 Dollars A Day for Each Child that is in the System and maybe you can imagine why it's not in their interest to reunite him with his family any time soon.

I wish there was a way for us to connect. My family had a similar case with Riverside County CPS which also resulted in the adoption of our children. The system is an open invitation for corruption. The power this agency possesses coupled with little to no accountability and the money that is poured into the funding is outrageous. It is a sad report that the outcome of your case is dependent on the caseworker and the judge who hears your case. There are a few good caseworkers who understand the need to follow the policies and procedures as mandated and not simply as "guidelines". These were designed to preserve the family or accomplish reunification whenever possible. Also, one must wonder if there are some offices actually instructed to meet a certain quota of adoptions. I know some people would say that is just ridiculous but until one has dealt with the inane and tenacious behaviors of this agency they simple will refuse to admit that there is corruption in this agency that goes deep and wide. Just how much so, nobody really knows.

I too, live in Riverside County and recently filed a Ripoff Report to which a certain person named "Robert" responded. I suspect that he may have been personally offended by a particular suggestion I made concerning CPS' agendas. No care, many of us know what REALLY is going on. Some of us are actually innocent and have gotten the shaft from an agency who is a self-perpetuating monster poised to gobble up our families, especially when it involves such tender morsels as our babies and toddlers. Don't be fooled as I once was; it can happen to anyone!

To all you doubters out there, first let me say that I at one time would agreed with you. I would of never imagined that a County/State organization would be or could be crooked and unethical, that is to say until it happened in my family. Yes, you're correct, initially it could have to do with one or both parents being drug abusers, but what happens afterwards is what most people never hear about.

Parents can clean up their acts, follow the case plan, attend AA or NA meetings, go to counseling, freely get frequently drug tested. But what you don't know is how corrupt some of the CPS workers are, they don't want the children returned back to their homes, why? Because their organization gets funded for every child they put up for adoption and/or keep in the foster care system, if they are returned back to their parents, NO finding is given, period!

And tell me how it's fair for a CPS worker to tell young children 'find someplace to live cause you're never going back home' or 'good luck but since you're a teenager no one will want to adopt you, so you will need to be placed out if state in a group home until you're 18' The CPS worker in our case blatantly lied in his reports, one time telling my grandkids 'your own grandmother doesn't even want you' which was an out and out lie! These kids who are already traumatized are being told hurtful things that are unnecessary, and not true.

We got lucky, after being sick of complaining to that particular agency with no results, we went to the very top person, filed a complaint, had proof of the lies. Not long afterwards the kids were returned home and that CPS worker no longer works for that agency.

The corruption does indeed happen!

I too fell victim to the political bureaucracy of Riverside County CPS.  Their social workers came knocking at my door on May 20, 2004... 4 days after a domestic dispute I had with my husband, whom I was separated from since before the birth of our son in January 2004.  My baby boy was only 4 months old. After extensive questioning about the incident and insisting that I needed to go to a shelter immediately, when I declined their suggestion to leave my home, They accused me of 'failure to protect' for not having a full restraining order against my husband, and pushed their way into my home and took my baby right out of my arms and handed me a piece of paper that didnt even have his name written properly and a court date for three days later.  

The police then restrained me and said to calm down, just take 2 weeks to get your life together, and you can get him back.  You will have a visit with him in 3 days, dont worry!!!!  I was immediately ordered to submit to drug testing and counseling and to apply for a restraining order.  So I did,  and my visit never came....in fact no one seemed to have any idea where to find my son.  I called every day for 2 weeks, and reported my baby missing.  Still they seemed to have no idea where he had been taken.  

It took me 2 months to track down the foster home he had been placed in on my own, and finally spoke to the person in charge of his case to arrange my visit.  By the time I saw him, he was severely neglected and very sick, yet I was forced to allow him to return to the foster home in Beaumont, or face criminal charges.  Turned out there were 7 other children in that home in the same condition.  I had the place investigated and shut down....yet still my son was not returned to me.

I fought for two years as they continued to drag it out and fill reports with false hearsay evidence.  Took it to appeals court upon their decision to terminate my parental rights and won the reversal.  When returned to superior court to retry my case, they would not let me in the courtroom, and the judge completely ignored appeals court decision, and continued with an adoption hearing.  I was forced to choose a family to adopt him or loose him to some anonymous family and never see or hear from him again.  

He is 9 now, and I havent seen him since he was 2 because that family decided they didnt want contact with me.  They changed his name, and completely ignored our post adoption contact agreement.  Now riverside county is charging me $9,000 in child support arrears for the time my son was in foster care!  I am still fighting to set the record straight, and take the power back.  I can only hope and wait for the day we will be reunited, and he can learn the truth.  All so that social worker could earn a $6,000 bonus for pushing a case to adoption.

This issue is entirely too serious, and people like you only make it worse!
I have spent literally hundreds of hours in various family courts(To protect myself, I'll not say where!).

I can tell you this; False reports outnumber valid reports in the CPS system by over ONE HUNDRED TO ONE! Granted, we are dealing with children here, but that's still ridiculous. What is more ridiculous is that these reports are ALL taken VERY seriously by CPS. NO attempt is made, in most cases to verify the validity or merit of ANY report. Most of these false reports are made by parents or grandparents involved in nasty divorce cases, but many are from unrelated persons who have a vendetta against a parent, or even a child! Some are made by persons who have no other interest in the child or its relatives, they just like to cause problems for people.

Worse? A child's report against a parent or relative is almost always given a low priority compared to all other reports.
Anyone can report you, at any time, and CPS can and often will remove your child from your care until they decide that it is unfounded. You say, "well, that's a good thing," WRONG! The quality and standard of care actually delivered to children while in CPS care is dismal! They are TEN to TWENTY times as likely to be neglected, abused, or assaulted, while IN CPS care, especially if they are with CPS more than a few days. And investigations often take WEEKS! Worse, almost as many children are physically or mentally damaged permanently each year, while in CPS care, as are in the care of an abusive parent!
EVERY family court system in a metropolitan area that I have visited is a hotbed of corruption, and a sewage pit of lies and deceit. ON all sides of the cases, attorneys for every party, even the ad litums assigned to kids! Even the judges are in on the fraud, refusing to follow the law because their "intuition" tells them how the case should turn out! And no-one can tell them they are wrong! 
In most states,(CA,TX,NY,MA,MT...) they will also force you to sign an agreement in order to get your child back(or foster/adopt), that gives them court authority to remove your/a child from your home if you talk publicly, or privately, about CPS in a negative manner!

In short, CPS systems nationwide are out of control. They have too much power and little or no oversight. Worse, they can use their state budget to lobby in state and federal legislature, for or against, anyone or anything they agree or disagree with! Just try to get a state or federal rep to make a change to CPS, or family courts, that they KNOW will be for the better, but that they also KNOW CPS in their state disagrees with. They will not even try....IT"S POLITICAL SUICIDE!

PS; In most small town courts things are much better for the "average" person, but if your against a county insider things are usually even worse than the "big cities."
Also, case workers everywhere are usually good folks with good intentions. But "the system," generally won't allow them to do what they may know is right. (It's why the turnover rate for CPS caseworkers is so high. Good people get sick of doing bad things, and seeing bad things!)

Unfortunately there is not much you can do unless you are part of the 1% and have the money to make change. Sad to say, if you were part of the 1% this would not even be happening to you even if you did beat the crap out of your kid which i am sure you did not. Many people on here have good points, and they all had great arguments. Jason vitorino or vitorinogroup.com had the same problem. The only difference is these people were pure evil. So the people out their making the 30 to 40k a year working for the state advocating for the children have probably seen allot of bad things and they probably put everyone in the same category. If they are at your house because someone called on your or whatever most people think if there is smoke there must be fire. There have been many people end up loosing their kids over an ex husband of ex wife not playing nice and using the system to their advantage to get revenge or satisfaction for either not getting the kids, or you or both. I have heard of people being accused of doing drugs around their children and after numerous drug test, numerous meetings, money they didn't have not to mention the stress they finally got their kids back. CPS in their lives for over a year. It not a fair system and it should be setup much different, but until it is we are all just as susceptible. We wish the best of luck and if you decide ti what you want to do, you can make a change in the system. Don't give up just because its over, don't stop just because its over. Your children will have children some day and i am sure you don't want them to ever have to go through the same thing.

There are way more false accusations made to CPS by people who have pleasure in creating problems for people who don't deserve them. My ex mother in law pulled the CPS stunt on me because "she didn't like the way I was raising my kids." My answer to that was this...you had 3 kids and a husband to help you raise your 3 kids AND you were a stay at home home. Your 3 kids have also been to jail and your son, the father of my kids is currently in prison because of you and your lying when you can't manipulate and get your way. I am a single mother working fulltime AND involved in ALL aspects of my kids school activities, PTA, room mother, field trip supervisor, school plays, school meetings, everything and you don't like the way I raise my kids because my 12 yr old son is responsible and does what he is told and what is expected of him and my 8 yr old daughter is the same way. B*&^h, my parenting skills have well surpassed yours and I've done it BY MYSELF. You couldn't even get it right with a husband and being a stay at home mom and you don't like the way I raise my kids! 

    Next thing I know I am getting a phone call while at work one day from a social worker APOLOGIZING to me for going to my kids school, pulling them out of class and embarassing my kids and myself. She further went on to say that she was very impressed at my son's maturity for a 12 yr old boy and the polite and mature manner in which both of my kids behaved. She said "I can see that this is a matter of an angry person just out to create trouble, I wish I could tell you who called." I told the woman I already know who called and told her who I knew it was. She didn't say yeah or nay.



    I then called my ex's evil mother and told her all about the call I just received. I could tell it really pissed her that her b.s. backfired. Just before I hung up I told her that I knew perfectly well it was her that called them and of course she denied it. The last thing I said was that it will eventually come out in the wash. Low and behold it did come out in the wash and also in a court transcript...right there in black and white. When I brought what she did up she still tried to deny it but when I told her it was right there in black and white via court transcript she was speechless. I laughed in her face and told her that the truth would come out and it did.

    Sadly, my niece had the same problem because of her boyfriends ex girlfriend but her situation didn't end so well. After CPS took the child from her home and refused to allow me temporary custody due to the false allegations directed at me, my great niece was placed in foster care. In court the lies the social worker and CPS were telling would make any decent person want to rip them apart. Before there were any more court hearings on the case my niece was killed in an automobile accident. After that I was not informed of any further hearings (as far as the court was concerned I didn't have a need to know) and it was not until the case was closed and my great niece was adopted by the foster parents that I found out the outcome. I found out later that the foster dad is a forensic psychologist for the County of San Diego. I found out that information because as a paralegal I was given the assignmement of preparing legal documents for a client that was suing the county and he was to be called as a witness. COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO CPS has done and continues to do dirty things that are harmful to children and their familes and have ignored all the recommendations of the GRAND JURY. They are so dirty that one man ended up on the cover of people mag. because he sued the county and won 10 million dollars. The details are on the internet and it's pretty ugly. Incidently, I also prepared the subpoena on the real child predetor in that case as well.    



     SO, for all you people out there who are so ignorant and think if they were called then there was a legit reason you are poison and a big part of the problem. You have serious issues and need some help.

      Incidently, my horrible parenting skills have produced a son who graduated from a 4 yr college on the Deans list and is currently in his second year of law school.  My daughter is in her second year at a university and my ex's mother is still an unhappy B*%^h with 2 grandkids she rarely talks to because they have not forgotten the trouble she attempted to create. Obviously when she was trying to create problems for me she never once gave a thought to what it would do to my kids IF she had succeed with her crap.

    If you don't have a legit reason to be calling CPS then don't use them to make trouble for a parent because YOU are hurting innocent kids. Refrain from being an a$$hole.

You are definitely not alone. There are numerous pages on face book regarding this situation. I know several people myself, and Susan could be right in some cases, but needs to look further. There are a vast number of these cases where the children should not have been taken. CPS corruption is rampant. When I searched this site I found 391 other reports had been placed. To be certain, only a small percentage of the individuals whom have been affected by this problem have spoken up here. From what I read OK, FL and GA are high on the list of abusing their power.

Congresswoman Nancy Schaeffer and her husband were both murdered in a double murder staged to appear as a murder-suicide, after investigated and trying to rat out some very sinister criminal conduct of child protective services.

Child protective services is infested with pedophiles. You have no idea just how bad the problem is.

The government does everything in its power to cover this conspiracy up.

Susan your wrong in your statement if you did nothiung wrong you would have your kids.Well I'm here to tell you,your wrong in my case the caseworker had tried to take my husband from his parents when he was little since thery couldn't do that they went after him.The judge in the cases was her brother and he said I had to many kiuds He took all three.What right do they have to decide if I have to many kids I was taking care of them.I had 10 reports made on me, we later found out it was by my mother she didn't like my husband and I was found not guilty in the other was the last one  they said they were tired of getting complaints.So susan you can do everything right and you will still get screwed.

Bureaucracies can be infuriating to deal with. I went through a somewhat similar situation in Florida in 2001. I will not go into details here. Part of my story is difficult for some to believe. However, I returned to the USA from China with a pregnant wife and a baby in late 2000. An intangible I also brought back to the US with me was detailed knowledge of the-then coming attacks you saw on September 11, 2001. I had already gotten a letter from INS stating an intention that my children might be made wards of the state. In Florida some people approached my Chinese wife with an offer to hide her out if she would leave me.

Around this same time I had been going around warning and explaining to people how these attacks were going to be carried out, where, approximately when, and that the commendeers were in Florida planning attacks and using airplanes, and all this BEFORE 9-11-01, not after, BEFORE. It appeared nobody wanted to listen to anything I had to say; however, they were all ears to any kind of trumped-up bullshit they could use to kidnap my children under the questionable legitimacy of whatever kind of law used to validate the criminal actions of the state. In short, my Chinese wife went along with their machinations, and my detailed and very clear warnings were ignored. After 9-11, all media local and otherwise did not have a word about my warnings, but there  was a story about the fact my wife left me. Law enforcement concealed the information I gave them about the attacks prior to 9-11-01. After the attacks it appears they concealed the fact they had been told about the attacks before they happened. 

I was not charged with anything at all in this. There is more to the story, of course. I was not an angel in this, and I was not feeling well at that time. I do not blame here for going along with the crooks because I was being unreasonable at times. However, abducting my children was a felonious crime in my view of things. It was kidnapping.

You are right. They can take action based on the unsubstantiated word of anyone. They were acting on lies to get at me, and others were ignoring perfectly valid information on attacks that would eventually cost almost 3000 people their very lives, cost the American economy an initial almost 1 trillion dollars in damages and disruption, and plunge the country into a ten-years war. The kidnapping and the gross negligence regarding the coming attacks of 9-11 were all accompanied by absolute lying, willful negligence, and invasion of privacy on the parts of tax-paid officials, and nobody has said word one about it so far as I have been able to ascertain.

I have written a manuscript about my experienes obtaining the information about the-then coming attacks of 9-11 in 1997, and of my experienes explaining about those attacks to people over the four years before the attacks were executed. The system, as it is called, can be grossly negligent and incompetent, overly powewrful, and above accountability.

Maybe not your case, but most of the referals to CPS are for a pretty good reason.  It sounds selfish to complain about your rights and a goverment agency that was formed because of crappy people having children, when you should be focused on your childs rights.  Crappy people should just NOT have children, period.

I would love to talk to you. Im in NY and have experienced CPS first hand. My children not removed from my home, however I have never been so humiliated in my life. My name was put on the NYS abuse registry before I ever stepped in front of a judge! All because I am a homeschool mom. No tax money for the school districts. I am a stay at home mom, and when I do step out for training, my mom is here with my girls. This CPS investigator fabricated the entire report, and I know that for a fact because I have a copy of it. She said my children were not supervised and in danger. Are you kidding me?!! She even put down fake dates. She never identified herself until she was in my home. Followed my family from the driveway. I though she was a saleswoman. That was the one and only time she was ever at my home, and charged me with educational neglect because she felt as though my daughter should be in one of HER 5 schools!! This case was brought to trial, I had to hire an attorney who had plenty of family court cases, just nothing in homeschool law. Long, humiliating story shortened, I am now on an ACD for 12 months and I have to allow CPS to visit my home twice a month along with other "requirements". Please, if I can help in any way. my mom was intimidated by cps/dpss so much that she hired an attorney who then told her she had to write a statement, that her original statement wasn't harsh enough to get temp guardianship. she lied and had no proof to back up her accusations yet even with my response pointing out all of the inconsistencies and blatant lies, cps still ran w the case citing all of my mother's original, false, accusations as factual evidence. the circumstances surrounding my case did not warrant the actions taken by any of the opposing parties, cps, dpss, juvenile defense, the judge, etc. the investigator did not do an investigation. the investigator reworded my mom's declaration and the court took it as factual despite evidence proving the case completely frivolous.

Call me silly but there has to be a reason. First someone reported you, then your child was taken away.  If there was no reason your child would be with you.

I had a nightmare CPS case also. In my case police planted evidence which was later dis-proven with their own "evidence". But not before CPS court found me guilty and forced me to go to intensive rehab 40 miles from my home 4 - 6 days a week to earn my son back. This was for marijuana. I am a legal patient. 

It is scary to speak out with CPS reminding us they can and will adopt our children out to strangers. We need to find each other and stick together. They can't keep calling us all liars. Keep your head high and don't give up. No one wants to listen, but talk anyways. 

I would like to respond to your story via email but evidentially the website deleted your email address.  I have a story about CPS in Victorville, CA; it's in regards to my grandchildren who were in the CPS system for 18 months. The corruption that went on in that office is unbelievable, I complained to the supervisor but nothing was ever done and the CPS worker on the case kept up his lieing, bullying etc.  Such inappropriate things were told to my grandkids, the CPS worker manipulated every word/conversation to suit and bolster his case. There is a lot more to this but so much to put in this blog.

I agree these is power in numbers - I'm ready and willing to take this case on!
