Robinson Roofing, IL License #104-015751, submitted a written estimate for a roof tear off, only, on my residence. They also submitted written estimates to two other members of my family for roof replacements.
I informed them I could recommend them ONLY if they did a good job on my roof. I explained I did NOT own their properties, live there, or have any control over what my family did on their roof or with THEIR money.
They continued pressuring me to do the other family work and I repeatedly told them I could only recommend them once they satisfactorily completed my roof. They agreed, (which I recorded on my pocket voice recorder), took my money, cashed my check, and then informed me, "they would not do my roof until they got a deposit from my sister on her roof !" , in essence, holding my damaged and leaking roof as "hostage" until they get more money. I recorded this conversation as well.
I instantly fired them as this constitutes extortion and breach of contract. The proposal I signed also contains no reference to refunds, thus allowed by law.
This company and its owner, Lew Robinson, are totally dishonest and operate in a corrupt manner.

In response to this. this person TIM LEUER is a flat out LIAR! TIM LEUER agreed for us to handle four properties of which he and his family had insurance claims on them for hail damage. I provided estimates for him..And he then mailed in a estimate for one which was half of a barn roof of which is his personal home. I never signed any contract with TIM LEUER!
He tried pulling a fast one and tried to get us to do just his property, the office staff recieved his payment deposited it and placed the folder in my office for scheduling.
TIM LEUER was contacted via phone and was asked where are the other properties estimates? He then stated that he was only going to do his. i told him we werent going to do only half a roof that wasnt what we agreeed to. he then told me to contact his lawyer and hung up on me.
I later,went to my Corporate Attorneys office on the 5th with a cashiers check and I gave it to him to send back to TIM LEUER'S attorney. Now this person TIM LEUER is harrassing and trying to slander my good name and reputation by making up bogus stuff about my company to the BBB and by posting to this site. I have never had a complaint about my company since 1995! and I have completed over 20,000 jobs.
Why this site thinks its ok to just post without finding the truth is beyond me. Which now im leaving both for my Coprorate Attorney to handle.

We give thanks to God Almighty, without whose help this would not have been possible.
I am in receipt of my returned deposit, and despite the defamatory things said about me herein, believe this act to be righteous, and the actions of an HONEST and CUSTOMER-FOCUSED company willing to amicably resolve differences.
I regret expressing my negative opinions herein.
You should have every faith and confidence when dealing with this righteous Corporation and its employees.
