Rock Bottom Rate Transport is fraudulent. They really do exist and they really may have a few good business transactions, but God forbid you have to cancel your services requested...because Michael Malinosky will fight you every step of the way in having to refund you the "guaranteed refund" deposit.

He was nice enough on the phone to set up the transaction to ship a camaro from  ft. myers, fl to malone, ny. The quote was reasonable at $950, with $150 down payment.  After he got the deposit/down payment, he contacted us and said that to go "all the way to our destination" the costs had taken an unforeseen jump, due to fuel, etc. and the rate was now going to be approximately $1200. However, he would be willing, for the Originally quoted price to bring our 1967 calssic car as far as downtown New York City and we could meet his guy there and pick it up. Yeah Okay!!!  That destination is 7 hours away from our home...ONE WAY.

We contacted him immediately and told him that it would be near impossible for us to do that and perhaps we could find another shipper that "was in fact coming all the way to our area"!  He got so mad at us and sent us a nasty email, being saracstic and saying things like, "oh well let me know when you find that Magic Shipper that you think you'll get to go all that way for the same price"! He was so mean and turned right into an A-hole!  We ended up saying thank you anyways, but please cancel our request and kindly refund our $150. We were being extremely POLITE and explained that we just couldn't find a way to travel 14 hours round trip to the heart of New York City.

After a few weeks went by we emailed him and asked about our refund...he writes back and says, "it's all in black and white in your signed contract...it's 21 days from time of cancellation"!  I responded with an apology and said thank you for the response and that we would wait patiently. After 21 days, we emailed again, then another week emailed again, then another week emailed again, etc.  We have written approximately 6 emails to which he WILL NOT respond. He will NOT return our phone calls either. We are now working into our 3rd month of trying to get our $150.

Please folks, be AWARE of this guy. Not only does he do underhanded business, he is NOT a very kind man.
