Rooter Hero Plumbing 10,000.00 dollar scam to fix a kitchen drain For 2 Seniors on pensions Scottsdale and Tempe Arizona

Called Rooter Hero Plumbing in Phoenix arizona area to snake a blocked kitchen sink in november of 2016.

They snaked the drain (77.00 special) and told us it was blocked and they needed to run a camera through it, for an additional fee of 275.00 dollars we agreed and they came in and said that tree roots had grown through the pipe.

The repair would require a 10,000.00 dollar repair, We said we can't afford that, they tried to get us to fianance it with them.

we said no, then they said they could try something else for 5,000.00,we againg said no, then they said that they could try another thing for 1,300.00 and would warranty it for a year and if we signed right then they would remove the 350.00 charge we had just paid. again we said NO. they left with our check.

The next day we called another plumbing company which ran a snake, said that is NOT the problem it must be inside,well in about 5 minutes he had the U joint under the sink off and removed the clog, we told him about Rooter Hero and the tree root pipe, He ran his camera at NO charge and said the drain pipe was just fine. NO ROOTS. Total cost for the repair 125.00.

He told us he had other customers that we also Scammed for large sums of money by this Outfit.

I posted a review on the BBB and the company called us the next day saying sorry that is NOT how they do business and there is no charge for a camera and wour refund us the money we had paid, three days later NO refund and they had just cashed the check. so much for sorry. Also they sent me an email saying that they would refund the money for a positive review on the BBB site, we NO refund as I won't be blackmailed to give then a good review.
