I had to complain to the company that details were not made clear for our wedding. The package deal we signed up for said music would be played at the ceremony and also that a limo would be picking us up. However, when the "Wedding Coordinator" confirmed the wedding detail a week before the wedding it was no music is played on the beach and its not a limo that picks you up... its a taxi. When a nice limo showed up to the hotel I thought things were looking up.
Upon arriving to the Bill Baggs State Park Beach, the rangers informed us that they had no knowledge of a wedding being held on their beach and they would not let us in! Our wedding coordinator was no where in site. After several attempts of trying to contact someone from Royal Romance with no answer, Surpise Suprise, one of our guests gave in and paid for everyone to enter the park! We had to pay ADDITIONAL money for our wedding site.. well what the heck was the entrance and site fee for that we already paid?
Finally after being delayed a half an hour, we found our officiant and wedding coordinator and was rushed through our wedding. The limo driver told us to hurry up or he would charge us for an extra hour! I was furious!
After the ceremony, the officiant came over to us and said that we should write a letter to Royal Romance on how unsatisfied we were and to demand our entrace and site fees back.
And for the icing on the cake..... Me and my "Husband" were not even leagally married because the marriage licence that I sent out 3 weeks prior to the wedding never made it to them because they gave me the wrong address and it was returned to me after we came back from the cruise.
They said the day before the wedding that if they still have not received it in the mail then they would work with us in obtaining our license at home. Well I contacted them, and guess what??? No response. I wrote a letter to them and said if I did not hear back from then in one week that I was going to sent the certified letter to the Better Business Bureau. Finally today I received an email saying to allow them 6-8 weeks to look into our complaint and review the details!!! So you're telling me me and my "Husband" are supposed to wait that long to find out if we are even married???
We are completely fed up and are going down to our courthouse tomorrow to become legally married.
So basically, Royal Romance is a HUGE waste of money and you could probably plan a beach wedding yourself for less money and way more less stress! I do not recommend going through them for anything!
