RUE Education  RUE education worst place ever, please help me with filing a suit. clearwater, Florida

I signed up for Rue educations LPN to RN program in April of 2007. I recieved my first book and began working, a week in to the program I realized this was not for me. I need an actual instructor for nursing. I told this to my advisor and was told pretty much it was too little, to late. I was told at this time that I only had three days to pull my contract, pretty convient that it took a week for my book to arrive. So no one gets to cancel this school. It is now on my credit report as a charge off and ruining my credit.

I have talked to the finance dept at Rue education and they say pretty much tough sh*t, you  signed your name and now you will pay. Now I am at the point that this has been on my credit report for four years and if I do make them some sort of payment then it would bring it all current again, and affect me negativly. I do not have five thousand dollars to pay for one week of school and I do not see how they can be getting away with this, even if there is a contract in place. So my only other option is to contact an lawyer and take them to court. Please anyone leave advice or let me know if you are in a similiar situation and maybe we can help each other out.
