....and not sign up for a RushCard account. I received my card in the mail and followed all of the instructions to activate the card. I set up my PIN and everything. So I figure, "okay, my card is activated now". I set up direct deposit for my paycheck to be deposited to my account. Well the day I got paid I went to go use my card and, to my surprise, the card was declined. I tried to get money out of an ATM and, again, to my surprise, I couldn't. So I go back home and check my account online. The direct deposit transaction shows on my account but come to find out they still had my card status as "inactive". I called their customer service to find out why and I get some person who doesn't speak clear english then I'm put on hold, only to be left hanging. So now I have this money floating around out there that I have absolutely no access to because they never activated my card and I can't seem to get any answers from anybody.

I have been with RushCard for many years. Probably since they started. Recently they UP and decided to cut me off because they didn't like the way I was loading funds to my card using Green dot money pak. I tried to explain to them that peopel buy things from me online and one of the ways I suggest that they pay me is thru Green dot. Anyway, that wasn't the issue. I have a few thousabd dollars on my Rushcard and they have been telling me for THREE months that I will recieve my money in 7 to 10 business days. I have called repeatedly and they keep telling me the same thing. They are holding MY MONEY hostage and there doesn't seem to be anything that I can do about it. I am looking for a civil lawyer now because this has become a financial nusance to me. It has really put me in the hole by not having access to MY MONEY. Rush card sucks!

So I tried calling customer service again to no avail. I kept getting hung up on. I would be on hold and then it would just say "Thank you for calling RushCard customer assistance" and then hang up. There's no getting through to anybody. I'm seriously considering a lawsuit at this point.
