My computer seemed to be running slow and my installed software was not locating the problem,  I saw an ad for something called PC Cleaner and I called the number.  The person remotely connected to my computer and proceeded to tell me that PC Cleaner could not fix my many problems.  I needed to be connected to a "Microsoft Tech" via chat. When that was done and I believed that I was chatting with an authentic Microsoft person, he told me that the only fix that would work cost $379.95 for a two year contract.

When he was out of my computer two hours later, I sent an email asking for a written copy of the contract via email.  Late evening, I got a call from Mumbai India, asking me what my problem was.  I told him to email me a copy of the contract by morning or I would cancel the payment.  No email. No contract.

I then began the search that led to these inter-connected companies.  Revenue Wire operates out of Canada but none of the email addresses work nor do any of the phone numbers ever connect you to a department or person.  RevenueWire HQVancouver Island Technology Park1205 - 4464 Markham Street Victoria, BC V8Z 7X8  CanadaPhone: 1-250-590-2273.  I went back to the Safe Cart home page and cancelled the order, advising them that I was reporting them to my MasterCard holder as a disputed charge, the FBI and Rip Off Reports.  The left a message on my phone (I cannot speak due to cancer surgery) saying that they had received my instructions to cancel.  They are also connected to Paretologic another scammer.

Outcome of Posting on Rip Off Reports

AUTHOR: Mary adler - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 21, 2012

I posted accurate information of a computer repair scam, initially costing me $379.95.  After advising one of the companies, operating under an umbrella of companies, I received my refund. They were not happy to receive a barrage of emails from me advising them that, after notifying my credit card company about this disputed charge, I was reporting all of them to the FBI for continual investigation. Neither were they pleased at the very mention of Rip Off Report.  I had used a credit card which gave me the additional protection provided by most credit cards.  If you find that you have been scammed and can explain it to your credit card company, they will begin their own investigation and if the results they find match your details, the disputed amount will be removed from your credit card account.

Many of the scammed persons who write to Rip Off Report should be mindful that there is strength and protection within most credit card agreements.  At the least, they should report the scam to their bank or credit card company, before doing anything else.  When the scammer knows that he will not be paid, you have a better chance of getting your money back.

In each case that I have reported to Rip Off Reports, I did the above before listing my reports and in all cases, I got my money back.  Rip Off Reports' reputation and integrity are well known entities to many of those who intend fraud and I am convinced that this tool helped me to recoup my losses.  I am a senior citizen who has limited resources so obviously, I will fight for every dime, when I fall vicitm to a scammer.

My thanks to Rip Off Reports staff for keepign this site up and running.
