Safety 1st/Bill Johnson aka William Johnson did NOT Complete job

We have a written agreement for him to do work under my manufactured home and inside my home. Under: moisture/vapor barrier and other things for $2,500. After our agreement was made, Chris and Matt who were working for Bill Johnson said the three AC ducts were really destroyed. I agreed to another $1,000 for the ducts.

A few days later, Bill told me the pipes really needed to be replacied; I knew this and he offered to do it for $1,200; I agreed. 

The work inside the house included redoing the master bathroom with flooring (I had the tile), drywall repair and sanding, painting the walls, a 73" double/dual vanity with sinks (I had the faucets), [he installed a 5' vanity'], a 6' linen tower with doors. Also molding along the bottom and tops of the walls. Electrical outlets needed to be installed and/or checked and covered in bathroom, bedroom, hallway. [NOT DONE.]

Linen cupboards in the hallway that were to be 66" wide, about 24" deep, and about 31" high with shelves and a counter top. This required sanding and painting drywall, which would have included the corner that needed repair molding. There are no shelves in the this cupboard, it is one big hole. The corner post next to this cupboard needs to be repaired with  corner molding.

He chose to purchase real oak vanity, linen tower, and linen cupboards- they need to be oiled  before I can use them-this was NOT DONE.  I did  not ask for real wood, in fact, I said I wanted something that was easy to take care of.

Master bedroom needed drywall sanding and repair as well as molding along the top and bottom of the walls. NOT DONE

The work is not finished. Bill kept saying he needed money to purchase the vanity and other items so I gave it to him.

The inside was to cost $3,880. I gave him a total of $8,950.00 (3,500 for under the house means I paid him $4,250 for inside the house or nearly $450 too much. I neglected to calculate; when he said he needed a check for the vanity or whatever, I gave it to him. 

He was not very reliable in terms of showing up when he said he would. Some of his work is okay, some is not. He stopped taking my calls in March.   My son called Bill Johnson who promised to come over and finish things by the next Tuesday; he did not; he stopped taking my son's calls. 

The following is a list I prepared for him but I did not have an email address or a physical address. 

The following is s list of work (and things) that need to be installed and/or fixed.

• ***1. Bathroom vanity is too high; it breaks my ribs when I bend over the sink, besides the fact that it is 5" rather than 6' as we agreed it would be. Something needs to be done. This is a 60" vanity rather than the 73" we agreed on and which is in our written agreement.

• Further re: vanity---the drawers are not usable—2 bottom drawers  are abut 6 ½" wide and the same deep.

• You said you were going to put a panel on right side of linen tower. [NOTE: this tower was in the agreement so I should not have given you an extra $450… I need that back

• Two mirrors in bathroom, one over each sink… I prefer just the mirror (no frame). I found one at Home Depot for $18.98 each.

• Bathroom needs molding along entire top.

• Door needs to be painted.

• You said you were going to put a shelf in hallway cupboard; It is unusable without a shelf. It is a 24 by 24 by 58 inch hole.

• You said you would replace the blind on front door.

• You were going to re-install my closet== I paid for parts.

• The post by linen cabinets in hallway needs to be finished with molding, etc. –this is true for the entire area outside the hall bathroom… needs smoothing, painting, molding. Other work around that area, also
• There is a hole in the wall –back left side of cabinet shelf

• The drywall by my bedroom door needs repair and molding needs to be installed tops and bottoms of walls. ther is a hole in it.

• The drywall in bathroom is not smooth… lots of gouges or wavy…

• Paint in bathroom needs to be repainted… very uneven on walls with paint on ceiling and crossing corners and just uneven paint, spots where it looks like paint ran down the wall. –the sections over the shower are especially poor.

• The grout is not right; it is uneven

• Shower heads coming away from wall. Needs to be fixed. I think this happened when John was standing in the shower painting. Lots of something dropped on shower floor needs to be cleaned; with dust all over everything--

• All the oak needs to be oiled, -- I cannot use it until the wood is oiled.

• The electrical outlets are not all fixed and covered;; my bedroom, hallway.

I am not the only one; a neighbor was also cheated by Bill Johnson.

I WANT A REFUND AND I NEED MY HOME FINISHED. 

Things in agreement that will not get done at all

• Organize and put my stuff away
• Moving office
• Clean house

Damages:

• When your people put all that stuff on my Florida room, they knocked over plant pots leaving the dirt on the floor; one pot was broken-I threw it way
• My 2-step plant holder is bent
• Rug I had folded on the Florida room is ruined with dirt
• There is paint on one of my cushions.
• Some of laminate in living room is marred. John was so determined to wipe his footprints off the floor and I kept telling him not to use water but he did;  you can see where the sheen has been taken off.
• The extra laminate was left out on the Florida room where it is exposed to rain that blows in and climate, along with some of your garbage… boxes, lots of plastic, cardboard.
• You did not take away that roll of vinyl like you said you would
