I use to be a Mission tortilla vendor, and we worked our tales off for the small comission we got on our checks.I always said we were Distributors because we paid for are own taxes,warehouse,fuel,maintenance, we paid for everything.

Ken,I think the letter to Safeway should answer your question. Mission isn't going to back the Mission Distributor.The distibutor is a sub contractor.We are not on thier payroll.They just want to boss the distributor around and constantly threaten our route. Mission Foods want employees but don't want to pay for them!!!The contract is so binding,that basically Mission controls the distributors routes,even though we paid 100,000.00 for that route.

Yes I got screwed,and got physically abused and NO ONE gives a crap. If the receiver at Safeway store#1533 had said 20 years ago I sexually violated her mother, Safeway Corp. and Mission Foods would believe her... I wouldn't even get a chance to defend myself...BOOM you're FIRED.

The corporate world does'nt like wrinkles or waves...thier all to scared to lose thier jobs,so the hard working low guy takes the wrap! So the reason they gave me(Note:I was never given a chance to defend my position) why I was fired was because I made an inpropriate comment to the reciever.REALLY!! After 4 1/2 years of her S#*t and being abused by the GM Manager,I can't say any thing? What I said to her had no cuss words or sexual content implications what so ever.

Thats how sorry the whole situation is.  SAM

Letter to Safeway with no response

Safeway Corporation,

This letter is concerning Safeway #1533 in Grand Junction, CO.  My wife and I owned J & S Distributing which was a MISSION tortilla route that included Safeway 1533.  On September 4, 2013 store receiver  and I got into a dispute over MISSION products.  She continued to generally interfere with our product.  She sends pictures to her DM which are unjust and basically harassing.  She continued to impede our business thusly affecting our profit as well as Safeways profit.  Sept.05,2013 She tells J&S Distributing that she will no longer receive us at #1533.If we can’t deliver to are stores , that’s a violation of our contract with Mission Foods. She’d pull our product off the shelf and say it was out dated,then tell her corporate ,which in turn my mission dm would get on me.THE PRODUCT WAS NOT OUT DATED!!! Pure harassment.

Sept. 06,2013 Mission Reps meet with Store Manager and I don’t know who else, to make a decision on this situation. The store manager wasn’t even at the store when all this was happening except on the 6th. The store manager told me that this never would of happened if he had been there. Mrs. X pulls this almost every time the acting store manager is gone. So Mission tells us we voided our contract and we had 30 days to sell it or they would take it. We lost $10,000.00 on the initial buying price and lost a possible $50,000.000 on the resale of the route. I’ve told Mrs. X that her double standards were going to catch up to her and she told me, we’ll see about that! Is this how Safeway trains their people? Your Dm in the area for #1533 is definitely afraid of Mrs.X for some reason; you might want to check into that.

We have witnesses confirming that Mrs. X has targeted J&S Distributing on numerous occasions. This is harassing and impeding our business.  She doesn’t show the plan-o-grams to vendors she doesn’t favor.  She has been caught in her receiving booth telling people while she’s been on her computer that she is trying to get rid of the manager right now.

Mrs. X shows no compassion and is very rude to an individual/s when there is a death in the family and dibs it okay to take a couple of days off during this time but no more seems acceptable to her standards.  When her Mother-in-law died she was able to take 2 ½ weeks off.  I don’t understand how Safeway Corporate can allow her to be rude, deceiving, calculating, harassing and have control of vendor’s livelihood.  An example of this would be that she cost both my wife and I our jobs because she had a grudge and could not separate professionalism from personal life, If Mission Reps had a back bone and did some homework, they would see Mrs. X has a lot of personnel issues and takes it out on vendors.

Safeway #1533 has a GM Manager named XXXX.  This man has attacked me from behind, pulled my hair, my ear, knocked me over, and rammed me into back stock when I was bent over.  My wife saw allot of it and said “that’s scary, it’s almost like he’s sexually attacking you”.  I’d get so mad; I’d tell Mr.M to quit his SH-T!!  I kept my mouth shut not to cause waves.  September 24, 2013 Oroweats merchandiser –XXXX, is attacked by Mr.M , Mr. M  hit Chris so hard in his upper body it knocked the wind out of him.  Chris told Mr. M, “You’re pushing this too far Mr. M”.  Chris was attacked 2 times prior to September 24, 2013.  On one occasion Chris ended up limping the rest of the day because Mr. M stomped on his foot so hard.  This is very unprofessional and disturbing, this is 2013 people just don’t get away with this anymore.

Many of the vendors would appreciate having the security tapes detained for #1533.  We believe Mrs. X and MR.M are committing unethical acts and are targeting people.  I know for certain the last three Safeway managers at #1533 have tried to reposition Mrs. X and they can’t touch her.  The Safeway DM is protecting her somehow for whatever reason. J & S Distributing and other vendors have proof of her malicious targeting. Please believe that there is allot more to this story.  Enough is enough.  Please start protecting the Distributors, vendors and merchandisers and Safeways own employees that work in #1533 from this kind of unethical treatment by these two people.

We would really appreciate compensation for the financial loss due to having to sell the route so cheaply because of the above information.
