What a nightmarish experience from hell!  I am a disabled individual.  This company "Samstrans" is a contractor for MART (www.mrta.us) which is paid my Masshealth (Masachusetts Medicare).  The owner, Sam, diverted my transportation from the medical center to pick up another patient for whom the company was also late.  I called him from the vehicle I was in (which REEKED of cigarette smoke by the way) on what was apparently his cell/business phone.  I explained that I am Diabetic and needed to eat and could not be in the vehicle much longer.  I live only 12 miles North of Boston and it took me from 3:25pm to 6:34pm (over THREE HOURS!) to get home.  Sam did not care about my medical needs and when I told him that if I was not taken home (for the sake of my health) I would have to call 911.  He said, "Call 911 then" and hung up on me!  IMPUNITY!  This man and his company need to be held accountable!  Sam informed me that they had to pick up a Dialysis patient (a HIPAA violation I believe, informing me of someone's medical diagnosis).  And even told me the person's address in Saugus, Massachusetts!  By the time we got to the other patient's home, he was too late for his appointment!  THAT'S TWO LIVES THIS MAN COULD HAVE PUT AT RISK!!!

If you are disabled and in Massachusetts, INSIST that Masshealth get rid of MART as a provider and AT LEAST get rid of "Samstrans".  If you find out "Samstrans" is your provider, TRUST ME...get another ride!  Your very LIFE could depend on it!

Additionally, the man sounded very shady on the phone.  His address seems to be his house.  I cannot BELIEVE the Commonwealth of Massachusetts hasn't looked more closely at this man.  ZERO accountability!  I was LITERALLY in the back seat of this vehicle panicking, and praying to GOD to get me home safely!
