I purchased a new Galaxy S7 Edge through AT&T in April. I have Directv. I ATTEMPTED to take advantage of Samsung's free TV offer. After viewing in-store promotional materials at my local AT&T store and being reassured by the AT&T rep that adding a line to my existing service qualified me for this promotion, I purchased the phone on AT&T's Next plan. After two months, I received an email from Samsung stating that I didn't qualify for the free TV because the phone was an upgrade. It wasn't - it was a new line. I've spent HOURS and multiple phone calls to (800) 726-7864 just trying to speak to a live person from customer service. When I finally did speak to a live customer service rep, they denied my claim, saying a new line doesn't qualify as new service. Tell that to my phone bill. The only recourse I have is Samsung's "customer service" telephone number that is an endless loop to nowhere. I'm a very disappointed customer, who is now questioning my loyalty to these companies.
