Securus Correctional Phone billing service Incredible Ripoff Internet, Internet

My hubby is encarcerated in Plymouth Correctional Facility in Plymouth,MA. We live in Connecticut. The only phone company available is Securus. I deposited $50 and was charged 6.95 to make the deposit. After having one 30 min. phone conversation, I called them to see what the charge was. I had $12.70 left. When I inquired they told me it was 3.95 to connect and .95 a minute plus over $8 in taxes. The phone call cost me over $38.! I had to deposit another $25+ 6.95 to tell him that we can no longer speak on the phone. What a way to rip-off families who are already grieving because of their loved ones. State Attorney Generals in all states should take notice and file a class action suit against these very indecent, greedy people. I don't know how they sleep at night. BOYCOTT! BOYCOTT! BOYCOTT! Write a letter instead. It would cost me just as much to get in  my car and drive the 2 hours to see him. Shame on you Securus!
