In the process of building my home and found seneca hardwoods on ebay, looked like a great price on american cherry . I contacted them and heather was the lady that helped me. She convince me to pay a little more for select wood as what they advertised was mill run. She told me if I overnite a check she would discount the shipping instead of going through ebay or credit card. So I did, dated 10/24/2012.Heather told me it would be 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.The amount ordered was 1619 sq ft and the amount was $4817.00. There were a few weeks gone by and Heather called to tell me the factory was having trouble with cutting the wood and the ends were splitting out . we discussed the remedy and I waited and waited and waited , after four weeks, I sent emails and phone calls and no response and later when I did get a email , it was from a family member stating there had been a death in the family and that Heather would call me in a few days. Another week goes by and no response so I decided to call the local sherrifs dept and check to see if there were really such a business at all up there and was referred to the investigation dept. I told them what had taken place and thought I had been scammed. They actuall went to the place of business and met with Heather at seneca hardwoods and they explained that I had complained about not getting my flooring. Heather explained that they were way behind on orders and that they were going to get my order next. Let me also say if you google this company there are a lot of the same complaints, getting some of the order and poor quality flooring. As of this letter the attorney generals office has not done anything about this as they said it was not a criminal matter at this point. Right before Christmas Heather called me and told me they had half the order ready to ship but would not arrive in my city till after the holiday. Sure enough it arrived and was the worst looking stuff I had ever seen , miscuts, warped , splits, and unsquare. I contacted Heather and told her about the wood and that I would have to go somewhere else to get my flooring because the house was finished and the flooring was holding me up. So I demanded my money back for the other half I didnt receive and she said she would have to run it by the owner of which whom I have never heard from.At any rate no refund or the other half of my flooring has been recieved as of this date. I did by some very nice wood locally and finished the house, I did use some of the cherry wood upstairs and had to sift through the crap to find the best pieces to use. This company should be shut down, I consider this transaction at best a scam, its down right stealing. They have done nothing but lie through the whole process.It will soon be four months since I paid for it.
