Another Bad Experience with Shoebuy.com Customer Service and Poor Quality Footwear
AUTHOR: Karen - (USA)

I need shoes and house slippers with arch support and found a good deal on the Wal-Mart website on Tender Tootsies Maria slippers that some reviewers noted had a nice arch. Since I was unemployed and going through medical treatments, one of which was for my feet, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on house slippers. The price of the slippers on the WM website was 2 pair for $30, which seemed like a bargain.
Although I ordered the slippers on the WM website, they were shipped directly from Shoebuy.com. When I got them, they were too narrow to get on my foot (the one that had been operated on).
I finally found some orthopedic shoes on another website and ordered a larger size than I normally wear. They didn't fit so I had to return them and order a different size. The second pair of shoes fit and after wearing them a while the swelling in my foot went down.
When I was able to get my foot into the Tender Tootsies Maria house slippers I'd purchased from Shoebuy, my foot that had been surgically corrected fit into the respective slipper at an angle so that my heel would suddenly slide out of it while I was walking, which aggravated the pain and swelling. Oddly enough, my other foot which is even more deformed and still in need of surgery fit almost perfectly into the other slipper.
I searched on the Internet and found a pair of orthotic house slippers on another website that cost twice as much as the 2 pair of Tender Tootsies from Shoebuy, but I decided to take a chance and order them. Well, my badly deformed foot did fit at a bit of an angle in the new orthotic slippers, not surprisingly, but my surgically corrected foot fit perfectly. So, while I did find a pair of quality house slippers I can wear, I was left with 2 pair of poorly-made house slippers from Shoebuy that I will never be able to wear.
By that time, it was slightly over 60 days since my purchase. Wal-Mart indicated that returns/refunds need to be requested through Shoebuy.com, so I wrote an email to Shoebuy customer service explaining my situation and asked for a refund for a return of the pair I hadn't opened. I never received a reply, but I kept receiving multiple weekly advertisements from them in my inbox until I finally unsubscribed from their emails and blocked their email address.
