I've been a customer of ShopNBC for many years and because of that I got the ShopNBC Credit Card but last night I discovered I could not order anything and was told I needed to talk to Customer Service. My only purpose for filing this report is to expose the unethical and uncaring treatment by ShopNBC in the hope that others will not get hurt.

I called CS today and was told she could not get info from the Reauthorization department and could not tell me what was going on.  I asked to speak to a Manager and he told me I need to talk to GE Bank, the reauthorization, or value pay department.  I let him know I've already talked with GE and there are no issues. I asked to speak to the next person in the chain of command and he told me there is nobody who oversees these departments or that could get the issue resolved.  Neither the CS rep or the Manager were told by the other departments what the issue was and I need to talk with all the other departments again.

This leads me to believe this issue is with the ShopNBC CC. I think the issue is that ShopNBC used another credit card of mine without authorization a few months back and I disputed the charge with Cabela's. I talked with the Shop Reauthorization department about this unauthorized use many times and their attitude was "too bad --  We have your credit card numbers and we can use them whenever we want to." Wrong answer.  Not only is this illegal but it caused problems with my Cabela's card and created more overdrawn issues due to unexpected charges.  So I suspect all this is retaliation for my reporting their illegal behavior and they are dumb enough to think it helps them when I don't buy their products. DAH

I explained to them with their "Value Pay" stuff they are only authorized to use the card I used when I purchased the product. And they do not post their Value Pay payments timely so it is hard for me to determine what my balance is. And when I ask them what the balance is they do not know.  I need to talk to another department.  So I talk to the other department and there is no problem and I need to talk to another dept....  On and on it goes and no problem is found and none of the departments say what the problem is or what the solution is.

I'm left hanging so I strongly suggest people take their business elsewhere as I will. ShopNBC and GE are not ethical companies from what I've seen from this fiasco. So my warning to others is to shop elsewhere.  I've had good service so far with HSN, QVC, and World of Watches so I would recommend them. BTW - my ShopNBC CC is still good enough for them to satisfy other Value Pays I have with them.  Why they will not do it for another payment in Dec. is beyond me (and them also I guess). Interesting.
