In the fall of 2010 my family hired Shorewood Realtors/Real Estate Agent Richard Aaron Klapper to list,show,sell my parents home. My parents bought this home in 1962 in the Redondo Beach/Hollywood Riviera of the South Bay in Los Angeles,California. My parents bought this home in 1962 for $28,000. My parents were career School teachers who taught in the South Bay for over 35 years. At the end of 2010 they were aged and in bad health. They could no longer handle their own affairs and two of their children became Trustees to look after their interests and that of all their children i.e family living trust.
Richard Aaron Klapper was hired to sel the long time family home. this guy turned out to be a real Jack a*s !!
Most people when they hire a real estate company/agent expect them to List,Show and Sell their home. Period. They dont hire a real estate agent to mess with their personal family affairs !!!
Under the Flag of Shorewood Realtors. This is what Richard Aaron Klapper/Shorewood Realtors did. Services were horrible and the whole family minus one member hated him !!!
Heres what happened. Shorewood/Richard Aaron Klapper were lazy. Inadequately listed and showed the house. Under sold it by over $150,000 plus. Even in a poor housing market this area is high priced.The house should have sold for between $830,000 to $900,000. Shorewood/ Richard Aaron Klapper sold it for $730,000. The majority of the family did not want it sold.
This was only the start.
As The owner of the house lay dying in her bed after her husband passed away. Shorewood/Richard Aaron Klapper couldnt wait for her to die. He showed the house and had people walking through the house/her room as she was on her death bed. This is no lie !!!
After the owner passed away. Their was a family trust. Richard Aaron Klapper then lied to the family members and told them if,"They vacated the house. they would be paid in three days". This was July of 2011. As of May 18,2012 Not one family member has been paid full share of the trust from proceeds of the sale of the house. In June of 2011 Richard Aaron Klapper proceeded to agree with a Contractors lien put against the family home. To get the lien released. Escrow instructions were given. The lien was lifted and the house sale was finalized. Richard Aaron Klapper then went down to the Escrow company and was involved in changing the Escrow instructions to now not pay the contractors lien he agreed to pay!!! Richard Aaron Klapper tried but failed to get members of the family disinherited for Contesting the no contest clause of the family Trust. Worse yet.
Their was a family meeting in June of 2011 that, effectively settled the trust and funds from the house. Richard Aaron Klapper then got the trust attorney at the time fired and got his friend a Trust Attorney named Matthew Yu esq. Hired to administrate the family Trust !!! Richard Aaron Klapper friend so far has bilked the Family trust for $30,000 in fees just up to December of 2011 !!!! The Trust is no where close to being settled a year later and Richard Aaron Klappers personal attorney friend is the administrator of the trust
Currently charging this small trust up the Whazzuula. Two long time teachers had their family dream home Undersold and their childrens personal business affairs extremely messed over. The family beneficarys cant afford a attorney and Richard Aaron Klappers attorney friend has their money to fight them with !!! This aatorney friedn of Klappers appears to be after all the funds in the Family trust for his so called legal fees.
This is far outside the realm of what people hire a Real Estate Agent/Realtor to do.
Shorewood Realtors has been notified and yet to respond? The lesson here is this. Dont hire this Shorewood Realtors/Agent Richard Aaron Klapper unless you want services outside the scope of a real estate agent /company. Dont hire them if you want your home sold at the best price, Dont hire them if you Dont want to be lied to !!! Dont hire them unless you want your personal life and finances affected outside the Sales of the property. Beware.
