Signature Van Lines unresponsive with my stuff Nationwide

I'm trying to get all the information i can to make sure this is not a complete rip-off. I read the testimony that Elizabeth from Fairfax, VA listed - unfortunately after I gave my stuff to Signature Van Lines. I recently moved from NJ to CA and like Elizabeth, had a budget from my new employer for moving expenses. I only had 15 boxes, a desk, and a bike and the estimate came to $900 (which was the best "deal" i could find). They offered a month of free storage and because I didn't have a place to live in CA, was on a budget, and am young professional, it sounded like the best thing for me.

They picked up my items on Monday, April 11, 2005 and put them in a Budget rental van - the two young guys looked sketchy, not at all professional and a little confused about procedure (having to call headquarters several times not knowing how to fill out the paperwork). They only accepted cash or a cashiers check for $700 at time of pick-up (which i was not forewarned of, so they had to take my personal check). Their inventory list was also not so detailed, but I made sure I took pictures and full inventory of all of the boxes, just in case, and had a friend over to help witness the event.

I notified them on April 30th of my new address in CA - I left a messege, which they did return to verify the delivery location. That was two weeks ago, now, and I have been trying to contact them to determine a schedule for delivery. I have left two or three messages and have not received a response. The original agreement was that items would be delivered within 21 days from the day that I notified them of my new address. They have one more week, and I haven't heard anything, or even spoken with a person (Carleen was who I worked with over the phone).

If anyone has any suggestions for how i would be most successful in contacting these people and getting my stuff, please forward it to me as soon as possible. Any Elizabeth, I sure would appreciate an update from you. Thanks so much!
