I too have been ripped off by these people. After "Shelley" gave me an estimate of 10 hours, broken down to "2 hours to load, 3 hours to drive to my new home, 2 hours to unpack, and 3 hours to drive back to their pffice", I agreed to pay $105 per hour.

I described every piece of furniture to them and gave an exact number of boxes. I told them everything would be packed. I asked that they arrive by 9 am, as I had to be at the new location.

They said they could not guarentee it due to traffic, but the movers would leave the office immediately after getting there at 6 am, and would be there as soon as possible.

No one arrived and I called at 10 am, 10:30 am, 11 am, and 11:30 am, always getting the answering service who said that they would have someone call me. Someone FINALLY called at 11:45 to say that the drivers had left the pffice at 6 am and would be there directly due to traffic.

They arrived close to 12:30. The truck was full of boxes that needed to be moved around before my things could be loaded. It took them 6 hours to load the truck after finally getting started around 1:30.

Then they did not have directions to the new home that they could use, as trucks are not allowed on the New Jersey Turnpike or Parkway.

I had to call the new home and find directions to the new place myself that they could use. We arrived at the new place by 10 pm, and then they filled out the bill. It was for 20 hours. I was in shock!

They then were going to take my things with them until I paid the money. I was so upset, had to start an new job on Monday and needed my things.

I argued with the owner Charleen on the phone, and she said she was charging me for the "6 hours it took them to drive to my old place". I said that was not in the agreement.

She said I did not have a written agreement and could not prove I had an oral agreement, and I was not getting my things until I paid. I could not understand why I should pay for driving to my old place, loading the truck, driving to the new place, unloading the truck, and driving back to the office location.

I finally agreed to pay 18 hours, signed the bill PAID IN FULL, I put PAID IN FULL on the estimate as well, with the 18 hours plus tax amount. $2000 + after tax and tape.

The movers then told me that they didn't leave the office until almost 9 am. They unloaded the truck and left. I got my credit card bill a month later and discovered she had not only charged the $2000 plus, but had put an additional charge on my card for $735.

She has NO SIGNED CREDIT CARD SLIP for this $735, and I want my money back!!!! I am very afraid of this woman, and what she might do as she knows my address!!

Fraudulent Charges

AUTHOR: Debbie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 27, 2005

These 2 women are known for fraudulently charging customers credit cards for exuberent amounts. Carleen had given me a stack of credit card disputes to try to resolve in August of 2003. Out of $22,000.00 worth of disputes, only $12,000.00 was legally theirs to claim. The other charges weren't because of the fact that they had no signed slips for the charges. They had so many disputes against them that their credit card account had been closed out. The only credit card they were allowed to accept was Discover. Once they knew that I was aware of their scam, they fired me after 1 week of service. My advice to you is to file a dispute with your credit card company and provide a copy of the bill that is marked "paid in full". You will then get your money back that they don't deserve to have.
