Signet Financial Group Out of Business Vacaville, California
*Consumer Comment: Signet Auto Warranty, Signet Capital Corporation
I have a service contract refund agreement with Signet Financial Group and they are out of business, so I do not see me getting my money back. I have filed complaints with the attorney general and would like to know if there is any legal action being pursued.

Signet Auto Warranty, Signet Capital Corporation
AUTHOR: Kirk - (U.S.A.)

As most now know; Signet Auto Warranty/Signet Capital Corporation is out of business. My nephew purchased a 2006 Scion TC in 2009 and was sold a warranty by the dealer which was underwritten by this company. My nephew took his car in for routine service at the Toyota dealership and was told that he had a cracked block and that the warranty would cover this as he had purchased the extended warranty. When Toyota submitted the claim, Signet denied paying it with some lame explanation that although it was not specifically excluded from this type of repair, it was related to another (minor) issue that Toyota said was covered under Toyota's warranty. Toyota fixed that issue but the cracked block should have been repaired under Signet's warranty.
Long story short, he paid for the warranty and we attempted to pursue Signet with legal action. After watching on the news that Signet's president, Gregg Lehman was seen fleeing his office with the news camera behind him and them asking for an explanation. He did not answer them.
My nephew has since filed a lawsuit against Lehman and his company and we had a process server, serve him at his home. His address is 718 Corte Crestview in Vacaville, CA 95688; should anyone else wishes to file suit and serve him papers. It's people like this that give legitimate businesses a bad name.
A good friend of mine who is a general manager for a Chevrolet dealership in Montana advised me that if I ever purchased an extended warranty for a car; make sure it is underwritten by the vehicle manufacturer and not some third party like Signet. Most dealers sell their manufacturer's warranty. If you are buying from an independent used car dealer, don't buy their warranty because it isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
