I purchased the most expensive mattress from Simmons.  This was nearly 10 years ago and for some reason about a year ago my back began to hurt.  I am a busy person like everyone.  I finally got around to calling Simmons and they sent an inspecter out to measure the indentations.  The pictures the inspector took showed just under 2 inches of indentation on both side of the mattress.  They have denyed my claim.  I am furious that this company cannot replace this as I paid well over $3,000.00 for this mattress set.

I have no intention of letting this go.  I will fight to get them to replace it.  I see many letters about Simmons with customers having the same issue.

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

My husband and I went to Furnitureland in June of 2013 to buy a new bed. With the help of the sales person we went with the Simmons Beautyrest due to the comfort, because I have back problems, and the 20-year warranty & we purchased the mattress cover to ensure protection. In 3 months it started to sag on my side. We made a call and the person said it's supposed to "cradle you". Well two months later it's now a "hole" and is hard get in and out of. Bed-check came to check it and the guy said it was obvious before he even took measurements. Then our claim was denied. They said we had a stain on the mattress which is yet to be seen by any of us... and they passed the buck to the mattress cover people... There is no stain on my mattress... period. Even if there was, which there's not, the mattress is still very much defective. So here we are 3 months later still getting the "runaround" on the mattress. I go to bed in pain and I wake up in pain... All we want is a replacement, and no one will talk to us.

Okay in 2011 we bought a Simmons Beauty Rest Mattress from Ashley Furniture Store in Amherst, NY. We noticed the mattress was sagging and started bothering my back. I called Ashley and they sent out a tech who took pictures back to Ashley. This was problem number one. The guy sent pics over and claimed the mattress was soiled and shouldn't be replaced. We asked Ashley to send us pics and they did and we were astonished. These weren't pictures of our mattress which was soiled free and not a stain on them.

Well I took pics and sent them to Ashley and they agreed to send over another tech and he agreed the mattress WASN'T stained nor any stains on the mattress and wondered WHAT the first tech took pictures of. So Ashley called and said they refused to take back the mattress because a tag was missing - A tag that we were NEVER told to remove when we bought this mattress. Now for the third issue. We contacted Simmons and they claimed a rep would contact us and after two months we STILL haven't heard from them. I'm done with Ashley and I will NOT buy another Simmons Mattress EVER. Buyer Beware IF you’re looking for a Simmons Mattress from Ashley, keep looking. DON'T WASTE your time with either company or you WILL be sorry.

Purchased a Simmons Eastern King Beautyrest Constance Eurotop in September 2011 from Ashley Furniture. After approximately a year we noticed a divot on the sleeping surface. We didn't think much of it, figured it was cosmetic as the mattress was still comfortable. About eight months those thoughts started to change. Now there is almost a 2-inch depression making sleep painful. I contacted Ashley's in November 2013, they no longer carry Simmons and referred me to the Simmons Warranty Center. I filed a claim and a couple weeks later, a third party inspection company came to view the complaint.

The tech confirmed the depression was just over 1 3/4 inches and anything greater than 1 1/2 was warrantable. He mentioned that they may have a concern with the water stain at the foot of the mattress. Since it was more than 3 feet from the failure he said it should not present a problem with the warranty, unfortunately it did. I received an email stating that although the depression was a warrantable concern due to the water stain the warranty is void and the claim closed.

I thought it over a couple days and just couldn't justify their decision. I phoned the warranty center and tried to explain to them that the water stain was not in the area of failure. Even if the stain was in the failure area I said, it surely wouldn't cause an internal structural failure. She held firm and reiterated that ANY stain, Even the size of a dime is a void in coverage. I explained that this must be the reason the fabric isn't stain resistant and a plain water spill leaves a discolored outline. She did offer to send my concern to a supervisor. About a week later I received the email letter below:

"Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to assist you. After reviewing your warranty claim, we will offer an AS-IS replacement of your MATTRESS ONLY. YOUR REPLACEMENT PRODUCT WILL BE STAMPED AS-IS AND CARRY NO WARRANTY DUE TO STAINS ON YOUR CURRENT MATTRESS. There are no manufacturing concerns with your boxspring/foundation(s). We are unable to pickup used product; therefore, you will have to dispose of the product.

According to our records, your current mattress is the Eastern King Beautyrest Constance Eurotop (M13919.7758). We will be replacing it with the Eastern King Beautyrest Recharge Arianna Plush (M45815.7904), from our current product line. Due to the design changes, your product may contain latex or memory foam. As the manufacturer, Simmons does not offer comfort exchanges.

This offer is valid for 15 days from the date of this letter. Simmons cannot guarantee that the fabric of the replacement piece will match that of the original purchase. Firmness of the replacement product may vary slightly because construction specifications do change over time. A delivery company will contact you to schedule an appointment once they have received the product from the local manufacturing facility. Please thoroughly inspect the bedding BEFORE signing for delivery. Your signature on the shipping documents signifies that you are accepting receipt of the merchandise in good condition. In the unlikely event of damage, please refuse the shipment, note the damage on the shipping documents, and contact us immediately.

Your order WILL NOT be released for delivery until all items listed below are received by Simmons (address provided at the bottom of this letter). In order to process your claim more quickly, you may fax a copy of this letter along with all items (satin label, medallion, law tags, etc.), and credit card information (if applicable) to 770-613-8575. If faxing the required documentation, we must receive the original items BEFORE we will ship the product. DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE PRODUCT UNTIL YOU CAN VERIFY THE ITEMS BELOW ARE RECEIVED BY OUR OFFICE. We recommend FedEx, UPS, certified or registered mail. The address is at the bottom of this letter.

REQUIRED ITEMS TO RELEASE SHIPMENT: * ORIGINAL Satin label from mattress (3x7" label from side or 6x9" from top surface). * ORIGINAL Oval medallion from mattress foot/side panel. * ORIGINAL White "Under Penalty of Law" tag from mattress.* ENTIRE offer letter, signed below (signature required for ALL offers). * Phone number for delivery **"

So for an $85 delivery charge and zero warranty, it appears we will get some pain free rest for awhile.

We purchased our first Simmons mattress in 2009. Within 6 months, it began to sag in the middle. We contacted the store we purchased it from and they replaced it. The salesman talked us into upgrade to a better model. Again, it sags in the middle. I will never purchase another Simmons mattress!!! I have tried sleeping on the edge of the mattress hoping that might help but the sag continues to worsen.

I bought a Simmons Beautyrest Corita Plush mattress set in 2012 and I'm so disappointed in this set. I bought it thru US Mattress and dealt with Josh ** and he was a great salesman. I had bought my last mattress in 2006 and it broke down where my husband laid and also where I lay. Josh assured me that this mattress would not do that and I was convinced, but it didn't take me long to see the indentation showed up. I would turn the mattress once a month trying to prevent this "valley" where our bodies laid, but to no avail. It is sad that mattresses cannot be flipped anymore.

I'm having severe back problems now and my Dr. said it is coming from my mattress. I would like to hear from you and what kind of warranty you stand behind as would like to get this corrected? It isn't like my set was "cheap" as it wasn't. I think Simmons needs to stop with the false advertising. Would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

I bought a Simmons Recharge King Size from Ortho Mattress in Santa Monica, CA just under 6 months ago. In a matter of about 12 weeks, a significant 'indentation' occurred in about a 4 foot wide area where I typically sleep. A service manager from Integrated Bedding Group came out on 12/23 to measure the indentation, which he found to be 1.5 inches at 'rest'. He put a tape across the width of the bed. This does not fully reveal how the mattress collapses from my weight (210). Note: I've been sleeping alone of late.

I've been waking up with a backache every morning for not less than three (3) months. Upon laying down, the bed collapses in what could be described as a hammock effect. I try to sleep away the bed's center. I contacted Simmons in Atlanta to complain, and they referred me to Ortho, which earlier had sold me one of their own branded beds, which indented radically after about 6 weeks. I traded up to Simmons to a firm mattress, paying the difference. As this site shows, info about Simmons bed indentation issues are known. And Ortho sold me this mattress anyway. Get this - I know the Ortho CEO. Our kids went to the same preschool in Santa Monica Canyon. I've been to his house...

Simmons 'Limited Warranty' states that 1.5 inches is a 'Normal Body Impression'. Bull... That 1.5 figure does not address what happens to the bed upon laying on it. The Simmons Warranty is questionable. I'm a Creative Director and marketing director. Based on my experience, I'm sensing that I'll be going public on this via social media, news organizations, consumer protection entities, etc. I am beside myself angry. This will be a mission in life.

I bought this mattress 5 years ago. I had no idea a mattress could make you sick. I have been so sick for years. At times I thought I was dying. I wake up with red burning eyes and a swollen face. I am nauseous every morning and some mornings I have diarrhea. Insomnia. My throat is swollen and itchy with lots of mucous. I am chronically fatigued and dizzy in the morning. I also now have hair loss and sores on my head. Hives. Numbness in my arms and back pain. I have been to EVERY doctor I can think of. Had biopsies and blood tests done. Last resort was an immunologist. Please, please look into these mattresses and warn the public. For now, I will sleep on the couch.

In October 2012, I bought a Beautyrest Noelle Plush Firm mattress from Back to Bed in La Grange, IL. BIG MISTAKE. Back to Bed had denied me my money back after a supposedly "free trial" of a Tempur-Pedic mattress and told me I had to select another mattress from the store. So I picked the Beautyrest because it seemed to be the best option and was close to the same price (but $300 more than the Tempur-Pedic). The display model felt comfortable in the store, but the one they delivered has been extremely uncomfortable from day 1. Of course they told me it needed to be "broken in" so I waited to break it in but instead of getting more comfortable over time, it has gotten worse and worse.

Now, a year later, it is in worse shape than the old worn-out mattress I got rid of. It is lumpy all over and the coils stick up and put pressure on my back and limbs. In addition, the mattress has a ridge all the way around it which takes away 4 inches of usable space on all sides and makes the mattress too small even for a 5-foot tall person. I thought I could eliminate the ridge with a mattress pad but that doesn't work. The mattress is so high no sheets will fit it properly and extremely heavy and unwieldy as well, so it is almost impossible to make up the bed. I hate everything about this mattress and everything about the criminally dishonest store where I got it.

At first I loved this mattress. Then after a few days both my girlfriend and I both began noticing weird health symptoms that we now believe were caused by the fire retardants used to treat the bed. Symptoms which were experienced during this time included: Heart Palpitations, Shortness of Breath, Excessively Tired or Groggy, Headaches, Nausea. We then slept on her bed for a week to see if the symptoms would go away and they did. We then returned to the bed for several days in a row to find the symptoms return immediately.

My parents had a Beautyrest from Carson's, & they paid over $1700 eight years ago that was becoming lumpy. It has a 10-year wear warranty. Carson's sent out an inspector, his name was Sean, & he was terrible!!! His report said our mattress was one eighth of an inch from what was needed to have the mattress replaced! My Dad insisted on going back to Carson's, and bought another Beautyrest. This mattress arrived and was at least an inch and a half higher on one side, awful! Carson's would not automatically take it back. We had to wait for an inspector again. This time Sean was busy, and another good inspector contacted us, measured for the issues, and YES, the new mattress was deemed in fact defective. Carson's only wanted to replace the top, whereas the box spring was warped as well, the wood inside was warped - bowing. Thank God Carson's took it back, and we will never buy another Beautyrest mattress, nor another Mattress from Carson's. I do not know if all of the stores are like this, but now I am afraid to try a Stearns & Foster from Macy's, if someone else got a bad Stearns & Foster.

I recently took delivery of a Simmons Luxury King Firm Recharge mattress on October 27, 2013. What a joke! Approximately 9 days after receiving the mattress, I noticed a sink/depression on the side where I sleep. So... I called customer support and they sent a representative from Simmons to my home on November 13. Well... today I got a phone call stating that the sink/depression of 1.25" was not deep enough and that in order for Simmons to replace the mattress it needs to measure 1.5" deep. Are these people kidding? I missed getting my mattress replaced by 1/4". I am livid and quite angry. I will not ever buy another Simmons product... ever! This company does not stand behind their warranty or their defective product. And, I can get my mattress replaced from the store where I purchased it. However, it will cost me an additional $200. This gives new meaning to being screwed.

We purchased this Simmons Beautyrest Keithsburg plus firm mattress in March 2013 in a king size, and 6 months later had significant, permanent depressions on the sides where we sleep. Upon reading more about this mattress, it has been reported that 25 percent of customers experience this sagging in the mattress early on. Really, really irritating for a product that was not cheap. And then the manufacturer requires you pay an intermediary to "evaluate" the mattress-- anyone can see the canyon in the middle of the bed, fee of $50 and then a delivery fee on top of that... for a product that was defective. This is not an unusual story, as there are frequent complaints on sagging.

Mattress began to cave in, cannot sleep, wake up every day with neck and back pain. Please email me, so together we can do something about this rip-off.

Below is the response to a warranty claim for my Simmons/Beautyrest Mattress. The test they ask you to do is a total sham, pic attached. Extend a board across the top of the mattress then gently place a measuring tape downward to measure the impression depth. Anything less than 1.5" is a pass. Of course when you put an average size male 185 # or female 130# on mattress, it completely hammocks out in the primary sleeping areas. Oh and they do the test with pictures as to not waste any time sending someone out to deny your claim. Buyer Be Aware. They DO NOT stand behind their product. It's amazing they spend all kinds of marketing dollars to explain how they test the product and this is the test for pass/fail on warranty.

"Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to assist you. Simmons offers a limited warranty and strives to be as fair as possible when evaluating warranty claims. Per the terms and conditions of Simmons limited warranty, we are unable to provide service on your product due to stains or soilage. Therefore, we must deny warranty coverage. The warranty has been voided. Also, we found body impressions that are normal and within manufacturing guidelines. Today's bedding products are much thicker than they were a few years ago and body impressions will appear with use due to the compaction of the upholstery layering. Please be assured that this is not an indication of an inferior product."

I recently bought the Beautyrest Classic Wesley Plush. I had it less than 3 months and noticed the "plush" looking lumpy. I called the store I bought it from and they told me that was the design. I, then, a few weeks later began to notice the slight feel of springs and the feel of something like a cardboard structure. Now, less than five months after purchase, this mattress sags horribly. In order to get an okay night's sleep, I have had to "pad" it to keep from being in a deep "V" posture. Now to exchange it, I have to pay another $70. #nothappywiththispurchase

I purchased a Simmons Beautyrest mattress from Sears July 2013. Three months later the mattress began to sag. My husband and I started to suffer back and neck pains. Currently sent pics and awaiting a response. I initially received info that the mattress had been recalled. Sears is hedging regarding me getting a resolution. What can I do????? We are both in pain from this mattress.

We purchased this king-size mattress (Simmons BeautyRest Ramsey Plush Firm) two years ago; we now have 4" to 6" troughs that we sleep in. The mattress infrastructure has obviously deteriorated to the point that I (200 lb. male) have something hard poking me as I lay on my side. My wife and I both have back and arm pains from trying to sleep on this mattress and experience loss of sleep. I also have developed a case of insomnia as a result of the mattress. In fact, in order to get a decent night sleep I go to bed in the guest bedroom that has a ten year old Sealy mattress that is a lot more comfortable.

We contacted Simmons and they sent us all the information we needed to send them including pictures. And in my opinion it showed the deep troughs very clearly. What we got back was a form letter denying our claim, they didn't even send out a Rep to look at it. We thought of suing in small claims court, but the store was not in the same county, so if there is a class action suit out there, I'm in. So to conclude this nightmare with Simmons, we bit the bullet and brought another mattress from a local store in our county with a 45 day trial. And they are in the same county…

Bought a Simmons Thompson Bay mattress and box springs 4 years ago. It started to deteriorate within a couple of years - I tried two different mattress toppers, but they did not help. The mattress was so saggy that you had to grab the edge of it to turn over. A couple of months ago I started getting knee and hip pain. I tried putting folded blankets between the box spring and mattress, but that just made it seem really hard.

I contacted the seller, Sleep City. They sent a couple of "warranty inspectors" (the delivery guys), who came over with a camera, a plumb bob and a little box with numbers and levels written on it. After numerous inquiries to the store, Sleep City finally told me Simmons had denied the warranty claim because it hadn't sagged enough - had to be 1-1/2" and mine was only 3/4". I don't know how that test is an accurate measure, because it sure sagged when I lay down on it - but that's what they did. Today I gave up and bought a different mattress from another company. No more factory direct sellers for me.

I had purchased a Simmons mattress and became extremely sick from the fireproof chemicals that they use. My mattress was over sprayed and I still continue to have major health issues. I am starting a class action lawsuit. If your health was damaged after sleeping on a Simmons mattress please contact me.

After having a Tempur-Pedic from 1982-2007, I bought a new mattress, a Comforpedic. The salesman said was also a Tempur-Pedic. When I called to complain today, they told me a Comforpedic was not their product but a Simmons product. The place I bought both mattresses is no longer in business... Mattress Gallery. So I will call Simmons and we shall see if they will replace the 6 year mattress.

I purchased a $2000 mattress from Fortunoffs before they went out of business. I noticed sagging immediately and contacted Simmons. They denied my claim because the sagging wasn't deep enough and also told me there were stains on the mattress which was absolutely untrue. They would not allow me to send them a photo of the mattress to prove it nor would they show me the photo they had!

A couple of years later when the sagging became worse, I contacted Simmons again and the adjuster who came to look at it said the reason it was sagging was because although there was a brace supporting it, the slats had been removed from the frame. This was done by Fortunoffs when they set the bed up and although I tried immeasurably to explain this to Simmons, they denied my claim and would not replace the mattress. Funny, but they said the stain was no longer there!!! To say they are disingenuous is an understatement!!

Purchased the Simmons Beautyrest mattress in 2007. The mattress has a 10-year warranty. The last couple years have been torture sleeping on the mattress and I finally called on the warranty. A local service man was sent to our home to evaluate the sag in the middle of our mattress. And although he could see the sag, its measurements were deep enough, I was sent a letter stating that because there was a drink stain on the mattress, they would not be honoring the warranty and "revoked" my warranty for the remainder of time. I will never purchase another product from them. And from the list of complaints on this webpage we should hit the company with a class action lawsuit. It would cost them a couple of pennies to right the wrong, but it will cost us consumers a few paychecks.

Just bought a Brand New(?) Simmons Beauty rest King size mattress. I noticed it sagging when they delivered it and was told that is from storage. I took picture the same day it was delivered, yesterday and you can clearly see that there are sags and the center is pushed up causing you to roll to one side or the other. When I called Simmons direct, they said they did not know if a new mattress should do that or not. When I called the store, they said it was normal for there to be a ridge in the center of the mattress. That I am not seeing depressions in the mattress. He is not here looking at it. How can he say what I am seeing or not.

When I lie down I can feel the difference. It is like there is a cross in the mattress. I have slept in it one night and I am already rolling from the outer edge of the mattress to the center of the one side and back. This is a very expensive mattress and if this is not defective, it does not say much for Simmons! I have to now wait for the Salesman to come out to my house for him to determine if the mattress is defective or not. He has already told me his opinion without seeing it and it is clear he is going to tell me that I am wrong. What are my rights here???

We purchased a king size Simmons Beautyrest Addington Plush mattress about six months ago. It started sagging on both sides and rose in the middle. It made my partner roll to the outside. We had an inspector out and he denied our claim. Bedmart gave us an exchange at an additional cost. We are now into $800.00 for mattress alone. I have already got the same Sales runaround about our box springs and frame which are in perfect condition. We chose two king size twins for replacement. The new Calista Plush does not come close to representing the floor model at Bedmart. It is much harder and quite similar to the firm king size twin we got for the other side. I have gone back to Bedmart and I am looking at additional costs to get something I can sleep on.

I only slept on it one night and I don't want to pay more money for a product not represented as what I would really be buying. We have now scheduled another inspection.. The mattress creaks and makes noise all night. This has become a true nightmare as I have back issues and am currently seeing a chiropractor 3 times a week. I'm afraid I will end up in the hospital soon. I will post our outcome but with all these complaints of the same issue, I am sure this is going to be more expense and bigger ordeal. I would Love to get our money back but I am sure THAT WON'T HAPPEN. I at least want a replacement at no charge and no more delivery charges.

I am first sadden to see myself and others of you on here for your horrible experience with Simmons. My first point I will like to say is that in 2005 I was informed by my physical therapist to purchase a good quality mattress and one that was firm. I went to BACK TO BED and the experience was awesome and so I got two queen size MILLER (discontinued) mattresses with box springs and frames for less than $1,000! It is now September 2013 and I still have those mattresses and they are still firm as ever.

Fast Forward to 2010 - I invested in a condo in Scottsdale, AZ and I decided since I was moving a lot of stuff from the burbs of Chicago, I would have BACK TO BED just place the mattresses on the PENSKE truck for me. Once again, I got an amazing deal from the same manager I purchased my first mattresses. My purchase included a Haynes (new firmest mattresses at that time) King, Queen, and twin mattresses with frames and the whole package. Now I got my mattresses set-up by Jan 2010 and the Queen and Twin were awesome, truly amazing to my surprise and even more firm than the Miller I had back in Chicago. Now for the KING, well we got a fancy sort of frame for that one where the mattress seems like it is sunk in but we used the SIMMONS box spring since I needed the support. When I got on the mattress for the first time that spring (March), I thought to myself there has got to be something wrong with the frame. I checked over everything and the box springs but I thought to myself maybe it needs to be broken in or something.

In 2012, I was blessed with my first child and my wife and I decided to move to Arizona for good and after sleeping on the mattress for 90 days or less my back was aching. I ended up sleeping with my wife in our guest room where the Simmons Queen mattress was and it was like night and day. Well in 2013, I couldn't take it so I decided to contact Simmons and let me tell you WHAT A JOKE IT WAS WITH THE THIRD PARTY!!! I am a mechanical engineer and I can tell you a string isn't the way to test the spring rate or comfort of a mattress. I was ready to drive to Simmons headquarters myself and give the CEO a piece of my mind!!!! I am still pursuing this because I can't believe how this company does their customer service. My point to all of this is that I believe their quality has gone down since the economy in this country has tanked in 2009 until present. This doesn't probably make anyone happy. I have been calling their Georgia location 877-399-9397 and trying to get at least 50% off a mattress thru them for this so I will let you know in a few months if I win this case.

My Simmons Latex Foam Mattress sags badly too. I put old pillows under the mattress, on top of the box-springs. To me this cured the problem. It took a while to adjust the pillows just right, but my bed is no longer sagging. It is as comfortable as ever. You all might try that as a stop gap solution.

We purchased a Simmons Beautyrest Elements Mattress as a Christmas gift for our Daughter and her husband. Within a month, they started having issues (low spots, etc.). In early June, it got so bad she finally told us. We contacted the seller, and they said to contact Simmons. It took my daughter 2 WEEKS to get through to customer service as they are only available Tue-Thur. When she was finally able to get someone, they were extremely rude, saying that we had not purchased a Simmons mattress & that the company we purchased it from did not exist. They finally did agree to send a 3rd party contractor out to evaluate and then decide if they would do anything.

They kept stalling taking any action, so I contacted an individual over the Customer Service Dept. This finally got things moving. And this person was very courteous. But just as we thought my daughter was getting her replacement mattress, Simmons said she would have to get a new box spring. She finally had to get nasty and they agreed to send a new box spring. It is now SEPTEMBER!!! We have dealt with this for 3 months. My daughter and her husband have resorted to sleeping on the floor until they get the new mattress set. We would not be surprised if Simmons said they needed a new bed frame, or new bedroom. I tried contacting the CEO, but w/o success. I will NEVER do business with Simmons again.

In July 2012, $2,500 was given to McGregor furniture store in Mason City, Iowa to purchase a Simmons Kaily Plush Firm droptop KING size mattress. By August of 2013, the foam on the side of the mattress and the coils on the mattress became non-resilient. The side of the bed fell so badly an adult had difficulty getting in and out of bed, and the coils depressed so badly it felt like you were sleeping in a trough.

The Simmons representative put a string across the bed and said since there was not 1-1/2 inches sag in the bed, Simmons would do nothing. The problem doesn't occur until someone SITS on the bed. McGregor's refused to do anything, saying it was an issue with Simmons. My elderly parents are now out a significant amount of money for the mattress they shopped carefully for, and the people who took their money really don't seem to care. What a sad state of greed in America today.

Right now! Pre-complaint, I am going to contact Simmons regarding a king size mattress set that we purchased the end of December 2010, only three years old. Been wanting to contact them since last year when it started being more noticeable, but I know they want to see certain measurement over 1 1/2 inches deep. This is Simmons King Size Kamilah that we paid high dollars for it. I'll let you all know how all this go soon.

We gave this bed a 45 day trial and will be returning it. I will never by a Simmons bed again. I had a Beautyrest & it started to sink after only a few months making it very uncomfortable. I hesitated in buying another Simmons but thought perhaps I wouldn't have the same problem with one of their memory foam beds, was I ever wrong! It feels nothing like what I tried in the showroom. I'm amazed they have the nerve to call this memory foam! It's more like sleeping on a thin waterbed with a pile of bricks underneath it.

It offers very little support & does NOT form to the contours of your body like it claims it does! When my husband comes to bed, my side becomes very stiff & even more uncomfortable (not sure how, seeing as it is supposedly a "memory foam" mattress!). He sleeps on the couch the majority of the time because of the problem & I still wake up with an aching back 4 out of 7 nights of the week! My recommendation is to STAY AWAY FROM SIMMONS MATTRESSES! You should actually read your WRITTEN warranty...

Most manufacturers have a fixed amount of sagging allowed before a defect is declared. it's also for a specified period of time.  Read it before you have a fit and fall in it.  Can you provide a link to the "many letters" from customers having this issue?

You must work for Simmons

You sound like a very angry person.  I had a mattress manufactured by Sterns and Foster before I purchased from Simmons.  I had a similar problem and Sterns and Foster replaced the item.  The indentation was in this case very little.  A promise to replace a defective item is a promise. You calling me names for wanting to have an organization keep the promise they made when purchasing a product only serves to make you look bad.  Thanks for the suggestion of putting a piece of plywood under my mattress!

I wish you all the happiness in this world that you surely deserve.

Tweety

Warrenty

You can keep fighting but unless you have a extended warrenty, there isnt much that they can do for you. After 10 years, one is supposed to expect that there is going to be indentations. You need to do some math and once you see the numbers in front of you, you may get a better understanding. You have spent over 3500 nights on that mattress. A drop of two inches is pretty d**n good after ten years. You MAY be confusing the "Lifetime Warrenty" with an "extended warrenty". The lifetime warrenty is protection against defects in the manufacturing process. This means that say if the sides came unraveled they would fix or replace it. But your issue is one of "wear and tear". This means that you have used the mattress for 10 years and as a result of YOUR use the springs have sagged. That is NOT covered by the lifetime warrenty. Wear and tear is NEVER covered unless you have an extended warrenty which would allow you to get a new one.

There are a few things you can do though to help yourself. Try flipping the mattress. Sometimes a piece of plywood under where you sleep can help as well. You can rant and post all you like. You HAVE NOT been scammed and you have NOT been ripped off. Them not replacing your mattress after you have had it for ten years is NOT them ripping you off. YOU are the scammer here. YOU are attempting to get them to replace your mattress FOR FREE when they are not LEGALLY responsible to do so. THEN to add insult to your scam, you feel its perfectly all right to post a negative review about them when the problem is NOT them. You are attempting to BLACKMAIL them into giving you your way.

You need to grow up and accept the fact that after TEN YEARS there is going to be issues with YOUR mattress. THEY do not OWN THAT mattress. YOU DO. To hold them responsible for YOUR problem is the hight of self indulgence. Get over it and buy yourself a new mattress. YOURE just mad because YOU want someone else to pay for it so you dont have to. Thats all this boils down to. You being CHEAP and SLEEZY!!.
