Jake & Chase are really good @ what seems to be con artists. I initially was referred to give Chase a call.  Chase & I talked several  times and once we planned to meet, Jake showed up instead.  Jake specifically said to me that he & Chase would be in constant contact with me.  The total cost was going to be $1500.00, of which I gave $500.00 upfront.  Not only did I never hear back from either of them but when I tried contacting them, I never heard back.

I finally got a call from Jake 2-weeks before our contract expired.  He said my website was ready to go which being that we had never talked, he didn't have my bus name, address, phone etc... This was my first clue that something was fishy.  I asked Jake if I could see what they had done so far and he replied that would take away from the ''wow'' factor.  I then said if I give you more money & I'm not happy with what you have done so far, then what? He said that wasn't how they worked & never show clients what they have until the site is complete.  I left the concersation saying I would get back to him & wanted to schedule a meeting with him & a computer knowledeable friend of mine.  I then started getting calls every hour from Chase.  We played phone tag for a day.  Once talking to Chase he said he didn't feel comfortable with me questioning Sky tip & said he didnt like my attitude & didn't want to wcork with me.

If it wasn't so time consuming & expensive I would definitely pursue a lawsuit against these guys.  They play the good guy, bad guy act really well. BEWARE OF THESE 2...DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY UPFRONT AS YOU MAY NEVER GET IT BACK & STILL HAVE NO WEBSITE

Skytip Media: Our Side

AUTHOR: Skytip Media - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, March 16, 2015

To Whom It May Concern,

It is unfortunate that this single client felt the need to spread libelous rumors and false accusations about our company that has thousands of satisfied customers and a history of delivering superior products at affordable prices. In the entire history of Skytip Media we have never had a dissatisfied customer other than the one who wrote this report. We make all reasonable efforts to ensure complete customer satisfaction with all of our services, even if that means cutting into our profits to do so. We believe in providing powerful solutions at affordable prices so that small businesses have the ability to compete with big businesses.

The story behind this clients frustration began with her, not us. By this we mean that this client contacted us based off of our reputation and commissioned Skytip Media to build her a website for her company. Per our contract stipulations we require 60% upfront to begin work and cover the majority of our build and design costs with the remaining 40% due upon satisfactory completion of the work; a guideline we modified for her based off of her explanation that she was tight on money and wished to make 3 installment payments of $500, a situation we were happy to accommodate.

Once she retained us we began work on her website right away and produced an initial draft of her website within 2-weeks, per the mutually agreed upon contract. We then proceeded to go through the contractually obligated 2 Correction Periods so that we could refine the elements of her website that she wanted changed. It was after this point in time that our working relationship began to deteriorate.

Per our standard contract stipulations the remaining balance is due once the final Correction Period has been completed and documentation of the completed corrections are sent to the client. Once the final balance is remitted to Skytip, and the payment has cleared, we migrate the client's website to their servers where they retain complete control of their website. We have structured our contracts in this way to protect all interested parties. By ensuring final payment clears we are assured that we will be paid in full for our services and, because the client has the opportunity to view the website prior to final payment, the client is assured that the work has been satisfactorily completed. Failure to remit final payment means the forfeiture of all payments made as well as the forfeiture of the rights to the completed works. This section is clearly defined in all of our contracts and we fully explain this section to all of our clients to ensure they are aware of it.

This client demanded her website migration prior to final payment being received, a violation of the mutually agreed upon contract. Chase, the CEO of Skytip Media, attempted several times to contact her to politely explain that this was not was originally agreed upon, and that for the contract to be completed according to the terms she would need to remit final payment before the migration occurred.

After several attempts by our CEO to explain this to her she decided to spread libelous rumors about our company, such as the one in the report above, all over the Internet. It was only after we became aware of her malicious attacks on our goodwill and reputation that we were able to get her on the phone where she unreasonably demanded her website be given to her without remitting final payment under the direct threat of continued Internet slander. She made us aware that she would not stop her campaign against us until we relinquished her website to her. Under direct threat of blackmail, and in the best interests of Skytip Media's reputation, we reluctantly conceded and agreed to migrate her website to her server; a decision that required us to forfeit final payment on our work.

We later came to understand that she never had any intention of paying us for the website because she didn't have the money to do so. When we learned that this entire situation was a scam designed to fraudulently obtain services from us we opted not to pursue legal action against her. Despite this unfortunate situation we are happy to report that Susan has been using her website to successfully promote her business and that it has helped her business grow. Our mission with every service we provide is to help others. We hope that you won't judge us by this one, and only, negative review.

Should you have any questions about our credibility and reliability we encourage you to look at our perfect 5-star reviews on Yelp or you may contact us directly through email at customercare@skytipmedia.com  or by phone 775-453-2277
