This wedding venue is operating illegally and is considered a public nuisance by the city of Oakland, which is actively working to shut it down. The owner of Skyfall Panoramic Hills, Sandy Boyd, began illegally holding weddings here a few years ago, despite the fact that it is zoned a residential area and is in a high-risk fire zone. The city of Oakland informed him last year that the weddings were illegal. He appealed the decision and lost. But he continues to hold weddings there. Now, Oakland's City Attorney is handling the issue and considers the site to be a public nuisance. That means that it will have to be shut down or the owners will pay tens of thousands of dollars in fines. I am filing this report to warn unassuming couples to not make a deposit or payment on an expensive venue that will likely be shut down in the near future!
