On 02.16 me and my husband bought a bed for my husband`s 76 year old mother (for her birthday on 02.17). We paid for it $3,000.00 (adjustable bed, twin size, with massage+ mattress). It was supposed to be a surprise and when the bed was delivered she was home alone (everybody was working). When we came to see the present we saw a bed standing in the middle of the room. We also found out that when the bed was delivered the guys just brought it and left. Okay, we decided to see how it works, with the remote control we tried leg and feet lift functions, use massage. The bed worked for 1 min and then stopped in a V shape. We got surprised, checked if it is connected and the batteries in the remote control.

After all the thrill about the surprise was completely gone my husband took second look at the remote control he noticed that it was used with a lot of oil marks. Also we checked the bed and noticed that the bed IS NOT NEW!!! The mattress looks used, has damages, dirty marks. The same has the bed frame. The birthday surprise was completely ruined and we went to a store where the store manager tried to acomodate us. He called the Sleepy`s company where he was transferred to a regional manager Totd Doren who said that SLEEPY`S can only make an exchange. WHAT?!!! The birthday is today and we need the bed today, we don`t need the exchange, we just want to cancel everything and forget about the company. But Todt said that it was impossible. My husband was furious (we bought something for $3,000 as a BIRTHDAY present and got a USED and DAMAGED ITEM!). The birthday is not tomorrow, not next week and in general GUYS, IT`S your fault, cancel the order, take the bed and let`s forget about it). They were on the phone for a very long time and when I got tired of it I asked to speak with Totd Doren.

Me: Please explain me the reason, why you can`t return us the money. You made a mistake not us.

Todt: But you signed for the bed.

Me: It was a 76 year old woman who didn`t know about the surprise, whose eyes are not sharp, the delivery people didn`t even show how it works (and wether it works).

Todt: But you signed for it.

Me: But it is used.

Todt: But you signed, now it is yours.

WHAAAAAAT????!!!!! The same I was told when called later the same day to sleepys company.

Girl on the phone: You bought an item that was on clearance.

Me: Clearance does not mean USED.

Girl: It was sold AS IS.

Me: But not for $3,000. I bought it as a NEW UNUSED ITEM. Cancel the order.

Girl: I apologize and blah blah blah but we can only EXCHANGE.

Eventually we got so tired of all this. My husband`s mother said that she does not need a bed with a motor because who knows what can happen next time. So we came to a store and a store manager Sean (looks like he is the only normal person in the company who saw used remote control, pictures of the bed and I believe realizes that this was not our fault) offered us to get the same bed for us queen size. Ok, even though we have a bed and don`t need a new one. We just want all the nightmare to be over. We were told that at the warehouse they will check everything a lot of times, the bed will be working and everything...

The only day for delivery was Friday 6-10 pm. The same day they were suppposed to come to my mother in law house (in the morning) to pick up the damaged bed. She cancelled all the doctor`s appointments and was waiting at home. In the afternoon my husband got a call where the delivery people said that they came to an appartment and nobody was there. LIERS!!!! The broken bed is still there and nobody comes to take it. It takes the whole space place in a small studio apartment.

I left my job 3 hours before I usually do and went home to wait for the delivery. When the delivery guys came they said that the bed they have has a damaged motor and the mattress is also damaged. "DO YOU STILL WANT TO ACCEPT IT?" Of course I refused and they left.

Today is 02.22. I called SLEEPY`S to ask to cancel everything. The manager politely apologized and said: "GIVE US ONE MORE CHANCE." I said that we don`t want to pay so much money for this terrible service. But the manager started their never ending story WE DON`T RETURN MONEY, WHEN CAN WE MAKE ANOTHER DELIVERY? I was fricked out and just hung up.

PLEASE IF YOU READ THIS REWIEW PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NEVER DEAL WITH THEM!!!! They will take all your money and will treat you like nothing, they will send you used and damaged items and then will say that everything is sold AS IS. Nobody ever treated us like this. This is the worst experience in my life.
