Worst company. Not only was the car I purchased in the shop 9 times within the first year because their "Mechanics" rigged and worked around every problem we had with the car causing it to break down over and over. When I was in an accident in January My car insurance took over the car since it was a total Loss and I signed the car over to my insurance and they gave all the Payoff information to Lady who works in the finance department and I paid off what I owed and my insurance was going to pay off the rest. She placed on my credit report I was 56 days late! On a d**n car I didn't even have possession or own anymore!! And then tells me I have to Contact my insurance cause they took too long to send her the check. That's not my fault and I did and paid what I was supposed to. These people are crooks and will sell you a lemon and work their way around trying to even take care of their customers. Worst experience ever from day 1 of getting this vehicle. You're much better off at D**** T*** or another dealership! I've filed a complaint with the proper companies and will continue to put my reviews for this company all over for people to see.

I had the car for even 24 hours in the begining and had to buy a new car battery that took them 3 months to reimburse me. My car was in the shop 4 times for the same issue because each time they never fixed it even though they placed on the paperwork they did and claimed they changed out old parts for new parts. All the parts pulled out the 4th time were all the original parts they just moved wires around and I was told I was lucky our car didn't catch on fire! These people are crooks.

And here is another complaint I had back in December 2014: So here's a story: our car went into the shop December 19. I had a claims adjuster look at our car at the shop December 22. They figured out what needed to be fixed and the price. And cut the dealership a check to fix our car. And we were told it would take 4 days to get parts and a day of work. So with holidays maybe 2 weeks tops. I get a call today saying we have to return the rental Friday. I call the dealership to find out what the hell is going on with our car. Come to find out they still have not ordered parts or even began to work on our car. And their reason is because they didn't get an "ok" to work on the car from my insurance....ummmm HELLO THEY GAVE YOU A d**n CHECK TO START WORKING ON IT!! now I get to call the dealership tomorrow and demand they pay for the extra days I'm going to need the rental. Don't ever buy from Smart Auto! #smartauto #willscrewyouover been screwing me over on car repairs and satisfaction for over a year now. Not to mention my car was in their shop 9 times due to their crappy repair service!! They finally found the check but refused to pay for extra days on my rental
