I heard an SMC commercial and decided it sounded like a good business opportunity. I went to the website and requested information to be sent so I could review and decide. I included my telephone number, since it's usually required by any company promoting their business.

I was contacted by a representative of SMC this morning. The young man was friendly enough, at first. I could tell he was reading as he was explaining the business "opportunity".

Now, let me tell you, I have over 25 years experience in sales/customer service. No salesman/rep that talks to me is telling me anything new. I politely listened to the spill, then told him I was not going to make a buying decision today, I wanted to review the material. Would they be sending me a catalogue? He said no...then continued in his quest to convince me to make a buying decision TODAY, it won't be offered again, blah blah blah, same old thing I've heard countless times. Offered me a website for 29.95 month, (free set up!). Explained the Silver plan: 24.95 plus 15.00 shipping & handling, 45.00 coupon. The Gold plan: 399.95 plus 15.00 shipping $ handling, 100.00 coupon. Oh!! And, of course, a 'risk free 30 day guarantee to look at the kit, and my money back if not satisfied! (Sure)

Being a sales professional, I politely told him NO, I am not committing today, please send me the information to review, then I would decide. He would not take NO for an answer, but continued to ARGUE with me about taking the deal TODAY. I think he knew it was a lost cause, but the guy wouldn't give up. He even abruptly said, " Ma'am, I've let you talk, now you let me talk". This was too much....as he was talking, I did a Google search to RipOff report and started reading the negative feedback. I gave him a final NO, and said it was time to end the call, please send me the companyinformation.

He then said, "It's either 'get in now' or hang up". I replied, " That was a very unprofessional statement. If you were a legitimate company, you would never have made a statement like that. It was very unprofessional! Thank you for the call". I then hung up on him.

Thank God they don't have my credit card number. He tried really hard to get a card number from me, but I just wouldn't sucker into it. I HAVE ONE MORE THING TO SAY ABOUT THIS BUSINESS: DON'T FALL FOR IT!
