ALWAYS CHECK RIP OFF REPORT BEFORE TRYING OR BUYING!!

Don't blame the tobacco companies entirely.  The free trial scam is a scam.  You want to try e-cigs then go buy one from a reputable retailer (they do exist), but DON'T try the free trial from SmokeFreely.com for the Prado e-cig. 

On July 14, I read a 'report' in a Florida newspaper where testing was done and this cigarette was the most realistic, cost-effective, and least harmful.  There was link which took me to www.SmokeFreely.com where they were offering a starter kit in a free trial for shipping only.  Oh, you could also buy accessories for 75% off. Now I consider myself a fairly savvy internet consumer; I refuse to order anything that automatically enrolls you in a recurring charge of some kind (monthly refills, etc.)  I looked for any such fine print on the promo page and found nothing.  I looked for such on the order pages and found nothing.  So, I thought I'd give it a try.  On July 13th my card was billed $19.90.

I received the product on July 26 (after I got home from work).  On July 28 my card is dinged for another $149.90.  It would have been almost okay at $89.95 - the going rate for the appliances, but they also charged full price for the cartridges which you did not get to specify flavor or level.  $59.95!

You only have 10 days to get a RMA#, but not having read in the the 'Terms and Conditions' which I couldn't find on the web site, I didn't know the 10 days started the date ordered and that weekends are included. 

Then two (2) weeks later another charge $69.90 shows up.  Turns out the free trial automatically enrolls you in the monthly refill program.  No, it wasn't cancelled when I made the earlier inquiry.  Now it'll cost a $48.00 'restocking' fee, or I can keep the product for $29.95 and they'll refund $40.00.

So, they make it impossible to meet the 10 day requirement and then charge such an exorbitant restocking fee that it's easy to give in when they offer to charge you less for the product if you'll just keep it.....hmmmm what does that say about the product?
