I downloaded a free copy of Avast a antivirus and in other to do so I had to provide my debit card information and a day later I noticed a charge in my bank account for $99.94.  I sent a note to billing support disputing tha charg and requesting a refund and this what I got.

Dear Freud,

We apologize if you misunderstood the website billing, but you were properly charged.  Your billing details are listed below.

50.96 for the 3-year membership.  It is 16.99/year, but as stated on the site it is billed as a one time fee.

19.08 for the download accelerator.  This package gives you the fastest download speeds possible for the length of your membership.

29.94 for the download protection which gives you access to any new releases or updated versions that come out during your membership at no additional cost.

We hope this clarifies the membership fee you selected.  If you need changes made to your selections or any further assistance with your account please reply to this email.

Thank you,
Software Pros Support

Stick to reputable websites

This day and age it is easy to be tricked online.  I too use Avast Free.  When you are looking at products and software online make sure the internet address bar show the website you are looking for, such as avast.com.  There are so many 3rd party sites that will try to see you crap software such as in your case.  If you are looking for freeware stick to sites such as cnet.com.  I would definatly dispute the charges.  Tell them you are not paying for their crapware.  Good luck!
