Dwight Smith and his wife Renee were upset to hear that after a year and a half of dedication to their company i had a great opportunity to join another company. I stayed with Dwight during 100% turn over in my department, i watched 3 people get fired for no reason, just to be replaced by new people and fired 3 months later. I constantly had to worry about my job and if my children would have what they need to survive.
I am a 24 year old single mother to a 2 and a 4 year old, Dwight knows my dedication to both my career and my children. When I put in my two weeks with Dwight, in the same week wo other people in the department put in their two weeks. The week before i left i was blessed to see emails where Dwight was trying to figure out ways to replace me and the individuals that left, he was not going to tell us but instead replace us with contractors. I put in my two weeks on May 29th and was told to leave the premise immediately. He then told me because i put in my two weeks on May 29th and not June 1st,
i did not finish out the month therefore am not entitled to the commissions i earned with SSI. I had 17 people billing for me at the tme people I RECRUITED that would have NEVER been working for SSI if i had not recruited them to work for SSI. I treated each consultant with the upmost care, i attended my job daily and was nothing but faithful toSSI and Dwight. When i learned my job and my childrens well being may be in danger from not having a job, I did what i had to do. I have joined one of the BEST Consulting firms in Columbus, OH that would never treat anyone this way.
I am very disappoited with Dwight and the way he has allowed his wife to handle his company. They both pretended to be mentors to me, and once i find a new opportunity they hold back $4,000 from my children and I. The worst part about it is, he had his wife tell me i was not getting paid my commissions (who didnt even work at SSi when i was there) and then told me to never ever contact him again. We currently have a small claims case to take place next week. In addition, Dwight has told current empployees "I know i owe her, and I would pay her - but my lawyer said we will win the case".
Three other recruiters that i am still friends with that i addressed earlier - left under the SAME circumstances and were released with their salary PLUS their commission for that month, none of them finished the month. Because i was the top producer i was targeted by Dwight and his wife - they were upset and emotional that i left and withheld my money as punishment.
Very disappointed, incredibly disgusting and a cannot believe Christians or anyone who even calls themselves a decent person would steal money from a young single mother. Terrible. My hopes are Dwight and his company get it together with integrity and honesty and stop keeping things from their employees. Most importantly i hope that they realize WHY people are leaving their company. Wishing you all the best at SSI and anyone still there, pray you're not next
