Southern State Community College has experienced a "computer system" error, which is delaying financial aid and student loan payments and disbursements for many students, myself in particular. I have been emailing and calling the college to report the errors I was seeing, and was told to keep waiting. I am not a first time borrower, but apparently, I was linked into this group. Legally, this college is not following the law regarding timely disbursement of federal funds. I feel this is a stall tactic to hold onto students' funds. It is unethical to do this to students. I called the college Financial Aid office this morning again, and was told, "you do what you have to do" they would not give me a date or any timeframe of when this error would be resolved. Not to mention, I've had issues with this school since May, trying to register for classes.
