the dealer there told me that they had replaced the hybrid battery in the vehicle the battery is brand new ma'am the reason I asked was because I did not want to purchase the vehicle if I was going to have to replace the hybrid battery 2-3 months after I bought it therefore they told me that it was replaced brand new , I purchased the vehicle, there were several recalls on this vehicle , after I bought the vehicle the dealer called me in to tell me that there was something wrong with the vehicle we don't know it could be something small nothing major! Yeah right the inverter cooling system went out 3 months later I took it down to Toyota dealer they said it was going to cost 600 to fix it, my mechanic told me there was an extended recall warranty on it , Toyota dealer told me that they fixed it back when the previous owners had it that was 5 years ago and was not going to fix it again without charging me 600 bucks for the repair. As for the hybrid battery I was lied to about the Toyota dealer said it was going to cost me 3,500 dollars to replace it, I talked to Veronica at the place I bought the vehicle they tried to tell me that they did not tell me that they fixed the hybrid battery, there for after 8 months of owning the vehicle they insisted on my purchasing an extended warranty and I would have to sit on it a month before the dealer would fix it. Really you want me to pay you guys 850 bucks to commit fraud and throw my butt in jail ? Not to mention have this crap permanently on my record??? You are crazy ! **** no I am not going to go to jail to cover your lying thieving *****!!!! Well then we'll have to put you into another vehicle won't we ? Yes you are!! Almost lost my job over this and my apartment because of their lying crap, Another 2 weeks go by still no different vehicle and still out of work! I called specialty auto finders Aka/ Elite auto and asked them what in the **** was going on I have to go back to work befor I get fired! Wtf did they tell me??? Sorry ma'am we cannot help you ! You're going to have to go across the street to EZ own auto where in turn I had to pawn everything I had to get into another vehicle at a whopping 900 bucks a month for 4 months before they would drop the payments down to 369 dollars a month . Seriously I am so pissed off at both of these companies I cannot believe it. I have submitted the same thing I am writing in this ripoff report to channel 3 on your side and channel 11 Fox News , thus far no reply therefore I must seek other help for this matter because now I have s repossession on my credit because of Specialty auto finders/aka Elie autos bull s**t ! Please help me out

Response from Specialty Auto

AUTHOR: Specialty Auto Finders LLC - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 22, 2016

I am here to clear up the conflict that seems to have troubled you. As a company, we legally have paperwork to show everything promised or owed to you. You have to sign all of this to buy a car from us. We also sell warrantys both at the time of the sale and afterwards. If you choose to not get a warranty, that is on you, not us.

To my understanding, you owned the car for a whole year before the battery went out and you expected us to replace this battery. No where in our legal binding paperwork was it stated that you shall recieve a new battery if it goes out in a year. The only way it would is if you purchased a warranty which you did not.

I apologize that you feel we have done wrong by you but in fact we have stuck by our paperwork that you signed when you bought the car. You can post on here word of mouth all you want, but until you can show us something you signed that we didn't fulfill, you have no reason to report us a "rip-off".

Thank you,

Specialty Auto Finders LLC

Heads Or Tails

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 27, 2016

Trying to make heads or tails out of this poorly written thing, one thing which comes thru loud and clear is the repo.  You have a repo on your credit record because it was YOU who failed to make the payment(s).  If you could not afford the car, you shouldn't have purchased it!
