We rented the Two Lakes Cottage from Ray Draeger on August 29, 2015 for 5 days. We also rented his Pontoon boat. We paid for the entire stay in full 2 weeks before arrival. this included an $800 deposit for damages. When we checked out, we left the cottage and pontoon in much better condition than when we arrived. Ray confirmed this and said that he would send us our refund immediately. When after weeks we did not get it, I emailed Ray. I have his response saved and it specifically stated that he was on vacation and would send the refund on the following Monday after her returned.

That was 6 MONTHS AGO!!!!!! I have tried to contact him in every possible way (texts, email, calls) with no response at all. It's like he has disappeared off the face of the earth. I also contacted VRBO where his cottage is listed and they were not able to contact him either. Ihave exhausted all options and he has not even had the decency to contact me back. We are out $800 that belongs to us!! We only stayed at his cottage for 5 days and it cost us over $3200!!!! 

Upon arrival to the cottage we were very disappointed in the cleanliness as there was enough sand on the floor swept under the rug that we could have had our own indoor beach. In addition the hot tub was not ready and Ray Draeger was there for hours fixing it. This should have been done before our arrival as it took a full day to get it warm enough to use. We also were extremely disappointed with the pontoon. It was just disgusting.

The seats and everything else were coated in dirt, the seats were all torn and ripped, the floor was wet and full of sand, and when we took it out to the middle of the lake and the kids all jumped off, we were shocked to notice that Ray did not provide a ladder for us To get back into the boat.  Upon questioning him, I was treated so rudely and demeaning. It was a terrible interaction. There are signs posted everwhere in the cottage that if you do this or that, that he will charge you for it. There are creepy signs alluding to a ghost in the cottage. It was just very inappropriate. All we want is our $800 back.
