This is Written As a Warning To People Choosing to Switch To Sprint Nextel.. Here is my Story From Hell..

In 2007, I had a Sprint Nextel account which I opened in Memphis, TN. One day I had to call sprint to ask a question about my account and the Sales agent started to pitch me a deal where I could get multiple lines and only have one breakage fee if I needed to remove one of the lines later. She informed me that the account was still be one account but would have multiple lines. All would be on one bill. And she reiterated the fact that I would only have to pay one breakage fee.

As I was getting ready to start a business, I decided to go with two extra lines as if I did not need them in the future I would not have a breakage fee for them as the rep stated the fee would only be for my "main line". My business eventually fell through and I decided to cancel the two lines and only keep my one line.

Imagine my surprise when I was informed by a Sprint agent that I would indeed be charged a breakage fee for both lines to the tune of around $700.00 combined. I was shocked. I explained to the agent what I had been informed and of course there were no notes whatsoever on the account.

I called several times and spoke to several different people trying to explain what happened and the Spring agents were dismissive at the least and were threatening and abusive (accusing me of Lying) at the worst. I spoke to everyone. Managers, Executive relations, etc. and no one cared.

So I decided not to pay them. And of course they put it on my credit report.

After disputing it with the three major credit bureaus a couple of times this charge was removed. I left Sprint. I will NEVER return. Their service would really have to be free. They are just that bad.

Beware of sales pitches by Sprint Agents. They Lie and the Company will stand behind them. Be Careful of entering into a Contract with them.
