My college-age daughter was covered by AETNA,SRC, insurance while doing a one year internship with a non-profit organization in Pittsburgh in 2006-2007. She became ill in January 2007 and returned home for care. Her physician ordered a blood test which I paid for with the understanding that I would file a claim and submit all medical information later. The cost of the blood test was $742.

I filed the first claim on 3-19-07. I received no response and called 4 months later. I was told that they had "never received the claim" and was asked to send another. I sent another claim complete with all medical and cost information and cover letter on 8-9-07. I heard nothing and called again. Again I was told that they had "never received the claim" and was asked to resubmit it. I sent another claim on 9-25-07. Again, the same story. I sent another claim on 12-11-07 and again heard the same story. I spoke with the following customer service reps in this order:Charmane, Raquel, Deneisha,Shannon. I never heard anything from these reps although I had asked each time that they send me an acknowledgment of receipt.

I spoke with Ms. Dinah Jolly-Keys in February 2008. She is the supervisor of the claims department I was dealing with. I gave her the history of this claim and she assured me that they had a record of receiving the claim and that "all would be taken care of." She further stated that if at any time I wanted to reach her concerning the status of the claim, I should call her at the above number and she would get back to me immediately. She would not provide her e-mail address or names or her supervisors.

I called her again in March, April, May, June, July of 2008. I never heard from her.I believe this is a clandestine organization and a huge rip-off for the "insured" student who covers the cost of this bogus coverage. I would like to file suit against Aetna, SRC, and Ms. Jolly-Keys who has engaged in this deceitful and purposely misleading interaction with me and my daughter. My daughter was legitimately provided with this insurance by her employer and I am certainly entitled to compensation for this medical cost on behalf of my daughter.
I would appreciate any help or information you could provide me. Thank you.
