i was looking on craigslsit and found an add for a f150. i emailed the seller and decided to buy the truck. she told us to send the money through western union. we sent the money and never received the vehicle. we contacted ebay motors and they said they couldnt find any trace of the seller or her account.

At the top of EVERY Craigslist automotive post there is the following (even highlighted in red!) :
Avoid scams and fraud by dealing locally! Beware any deal involving Western Union, Moneygram, wire transfer, cashier check, money order, shipping, escrow, or any promise of transaction protection/certification/guarantee. More info
What more do you need?

That's probably because Ebay Motors has nothing to do with Craigslist transactions. Ebay Motors also specifically details this scam on their website.
Doesn't anybody read anymore, or is it all just clicking now?

You ignored the warnings published on Craigslist and got conned.
The Staff Sergeant does not exist, and if there is one in the military by that name she can sue you for Slander or Liable (Can't remember correct usage, Sorry)
Call the Local Police where you are. But the money is gone.
